Here's the problem with opening an investigation of Clinton. The investigation will inevitably lead to an investigation of the cover up by Justice Department, Comey and Lynch, and almost certainly to the Obama WH. Investigating Clinton and her staff would be very divisive among the people and in Congress, but investigating the Justice Department would seriously undermine confidence in the government and investigating America's first black president, would have people rioting in the streets. Trump has a huge agenda of domestic and foreign policy proposals to deal with, so will having half the country up in arms about investigating these criminals slow or stop progress on this agenda? I think if he does go ahead with these investigations, he will allow it to develop slowly, perhaps first allowing Congress to pursue it.

How exactly is that a problem? The American people are not worthy of the truth? Whose government is it? You are right that it's opening Pandora's Box.
