You guys always like to ignore and leave out a little thing called the "Dust Bowl". The Dust Bowl was a continuous series of droughts and wind storms that devasted American agriculture throughout the Great Depression. It depopulated vast areas and caused huge numbers of people to flee these areas in search of employment in the already stressed populated areas.None of that caused the depression. All the amateur investors that gambled all their money and lost it, caused the depression. Coolidge provided the money by being a damn good president.Coolidge is notorious as a hands off President. Let the children do what they want ...what could possibly go wrong?
Yes, we had some short term prosperity as the Stock Market built into a huge unsupportable bubble
It's very convenient for you guys to leave out that portion of history and a major cause of the inability of the government to deal with the GB. What is the big deal, right? Millions of people unemployed due to weather as a major American industry is getting destroyed beyond a practical solution.
