Former NSA contractor Edward Snowden has been holed up in Sheremetyevo Airport for more than a month as he awaits temporary asylum in Russia. Snowdens lawyer says his application for asylum has been submitted to Russias Federal Migration Service, or FMS, and its now a wait and see situation.
Vladimir Volokh, head of the FMS's public council, said if Snowden leaves Sheremetyevo, Russia cant guarantee his safety. "I don't think it is good for Snowden to travel freely in Russia, as he is wanted now," Volokh said, adding that he thinks the safest area for Snowden is to remain in the transit area at the airport or in areas under the jurisdiction of the FMS.
Volokhs comments came as Washington promised Snowden wouldn't face the death penalty were he expelled to the U.S. In a letter to Russias justice minister, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder assured the Kremlin that the criminal charges Snowden faces back home dont carry the death penalty. Russian President Vladimir Putin has so far refused to extradite Snowden, saying he is a free man.
Snowdens lawyer says that once the former NSA contractor has the documents to leave Sheremetyevo hell be seeking to establish a life in Russia, at least for now. The dispute over Snowden is the latest between Moscow and Washington. The two sides continue to disagree over a myriad of issues including missile defense, Syria and adoptions.
Russian Migration Official: Snowden May Be in Danger
Not if I was on the jury.
We all know that there would be no chance of a trial. Snowden would be "Hastingsed" and end up in a burned out car on some city street, after having smashed into a tree that showed no collision damage.

Russian Migration Official: Snowden May Be in Danger
July 29, 2013 A Russian Federal Migration Service official said he believes it's best that former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden remain in Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport because he is a wanted man and is safer there. The United States has promised Russia it will not seek the death penalty if Snowden is returned to America to face espionage charges.

He committed a crime. I would not consider it treason at this point, but he should go to jail for a while.
He broke a law the government trampled on the constitution don't see you holding them in contempt...Would an American Jury Even Convict Edward Snowden? - Conor Friedersdorf - The Atlantic

So, you would choose not to follow the rule of law. I'm glad to see you have no respect at all for our laws. See, we know Snowden broke the law. He leaked classified information which he swore to keep secret. It was in the job description, and he knew the consequences of breaking that law. Why do you think he ran?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Of course you can get a jury to convict him, you just need to find jurors that meet the following criteria:
1. Weak and pathetic
2. Have been wronged by others in life (seeking revenge)
3. Uneducated
4. Think they are or can be a lawyer (wannabe lawyers)
5. Misguided patriots
GUILTY !!!
