What Is A "Jury of your peers"?

Trumps been a New Yorker forever

Trumps lawyers picked half the jurors

You don’t know how wealthy the jurors were

Trump ran around ny showing us ny ers love him. Was that a lie?
Lawyers don’t pick jurors. They can reject some arbitrarily and more for cause. I’ll clue you in, on a case like this jurors lie about their opinions and stances to get on the jury. In a place like this, where ninety six plus percent of the population voted for Biden, the chance of even one neutral person making it on the jury is minuscule.

Bullshit. There were Trump supporters on the jury you fool. They couldn't bullshit their way to finding him innocent like you do here. They'd be embarrassed making the arguments you make here because they have to say it face to face.

Yes, OJ's lawyers got to pick half the jurors. Trump's lawyers suck. Maybe he should pay them and they'd try harder.

Proving another crime isn't the requirement for the enhancement. As you know proving INTENT to commit, aid or conceal another crime with the falsification of records is the requirement.

You're offering us a legal strawman. And delightfully pseudo-legal one, as nothing you've described is actually a legal requirement under NY law.

There's no 'pretzel twisting'. The felony enhancement is right there in 175.10. The jury unanimously found Trump falsified records. AND unanimously found that he did so with the INTENT to commit, aid or conceal another crime.

Its not particularly complicated. Especially for the jury.

In a legal context, peer most often refers to anyone who is an adult citizen, such as in “a jury of one's peers.” Generally, a jury of one's peers is a random selection of other citizens from a similar geographic location. These individuals do not necessarily share traits similar to a defendant's.

In my opinion, "peers" indicates folks similar to you in most ways: financial/social status, regional locale, etc. Inner-city, Communist thugs are not Trump's "peers."

My God, you're stupid.

These individuals do not necessarily share traits similar to a defendant’s. As such, there is no guarantee that those who hear a defendant’s case will be of a similar age, race, socio-economic background, or gender as the defendant, though these traits alone cannot disqualify someone from serving as a juror.

People are much more likely to lie to get out of being on a jury. Only a psycho would look for such an opportunity. Voir dire catches most of those cases.

Plenty of psychos who hate Trump and would lie to get on a jury to screw him over,

Hey dumbass:

"A person who has equal standing with another or others, as in rank, class, or age."

": one that is of equal standing with another : EQUAL
The band mates welcomed the new member as a peer.

especially : one belonging to the same societal group especially based on age, grade, or status"

"Legal Definitions" have gotten America into the cesspool we're in. Do better!

Good grief. Did you finish high school? A peer might be your classmate, but in law it's an adult citizen.
When the Founders chose to try a defendant in front of a "jury of his peers" they used the only definition of that word that existed at the time. They weren't subject to the current, corrupt, "legal" system. Learn!!
