Exactly. Would Trump supporters think it fair that Trump won the election if he made an end run around the popular vote to the state legislators of the swing states to fix the electoral college based on lies about voter fraud?

Anyone who would be happy to see their candidate win a rigged election does not support democracy.

End of story.


That example wouldn't be Trump "winning an election." That example is Trump losing an election, and the Legislature, believing the election is rigged, invoking it's ancient enumerated power to appoint the Electors.

Whether or not a nominee wins/loses a fair/rigged election, does not certify them was the winner/loser of the Office of the Presidency.

Welcome to our Federalist Republic that rests upon the foundation of a well defined Constitution that addresses this particular case of Presidential Crisis (regardless of whether or not the election was or wasn't rigged).
