Yes, Defund Obamacare

Where were you when George Bush single-handedly undertook the greatest expansion of Medicare in the program's history? Why is it that you don't know the cost of Medicare part D?

Your news sources don't even inform you about what your party is spending. You are now merely an attack dog for the Republican Party, which is purely a creature of Washington in all its centralized power. I think you can do better. We need you to do better. We need you to break free of your current information sources so that you become a better critic of both parties. Reagan spent three times what Carter spent. He left the nation terribly in debt. We didn't here a fucking peep from your side. Then Bush spent twice as much is Clinton. Again we heard nothing. We need you to be better informed.

I agree with your attacks on the GOP. But I seriously doubt that screamingeagle wasn't one of the many of us who were outraged at the time W did that.

W was BTW trashed by even Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity for that fiasco.

Too bad the GOP didn't do anything about rising health care costs when they controlled both Houses of Congress and the White House, eh? I guess they were too busy doubling the national debt and deregulating Wall Street to be thinking about ways to save money for Americans.

Now the best idea they can come up with is to stop funding a program which was legally approved by Congress and signed by the President.

A supermajority of Americans are opposed to repealing ObamaCare, but the GOP doesn't care. So much for the will of the people.

You know why only a third of Americans want to repeal ObamaCare? Because the GOP can't come up with a superior alternative. How pathetic is that? Defunding ObamaCare is the only plan they have, which means they are not very bright. Defund ObamaCare...and then what? That's where the GOP falls on its face. Everyone can see it coming but them. Again, not very bright.

So go right ahead and go against two thirds of America. See how that works out for ya.

All that time the Right has spent bitching about Obama's 26 Christmas trees.

All that time the Right has spent inventing stand down orders and Obama watching a 7 hour battle live through a drone camera.

All that time the Right has spent making up shit about Obama's Africa "vacation".

All that time the Right has spent whining about Michelle Obama's fat ass and her ski trip.

All that time the Right has spent making up an Obama order to the IRS.

All that time the Right has spent on so many strawmen and delusional fantasies.

All that time the Right has spent bashing gays, and blacks, and immigrants, and Muslims!

All that time could have been spent getting out superior ideas for health reform, job creation, tax reform, and so many other things the country is actually worried about.

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste." The GOP is wasting millions of minds on brainless drivel.

Reagan was the Great Communicator, not a Great Complainer.

lol.....it always goes back to Booosh.....especially when you guys want to knock something you can't really attack directly.....this only makes me think this idea is even better than ever...

(btw i consider GWB to be a rino in many ways....much like many others in the GOP....)

i happen to think American Thinker is a great source......but i'm open.....what are your great sources for 'better' information.....?

Best way to get rid of obamacare is for the states to just refuse it on grounds that controlling health care is not listed in the constitution as one of the powers of congress. By the tenth amendment, HC is thus a right of the states or the people.

Article 6 of the constitution says that state officials must also honor the federal constitution.

Action GOP took to reform rising healthcare costs when in power: Zero.

Action Democrats took to reform rising healthcare costs when in power: ObamaCare.

The GOP needs a remedial course in the classic tale of the boy who cried wolf.

It could be argued, and should be, that ObamaCare is worse than doing nothing. Unfortunately, the Right has shot its load whining so many times over bogus bullshit that it completely wasted its moral authority on any subject. Any whining over ObamaCare is perceived as just so much more noise from a barrel of non-stop whiners. People just aren't listening any more. The Right has made it a thousand times harder for itself to be heard over its own din.

Consequently, the GOP is perceived as doing nothing to stop rising healthcare costs while the Democrats are perceived as at least trying to do something about the problem. And it IS a problem. A very real one for most Americans.

The Democrats are going to be kicking the GOP in the nuts, hard, for doing NOTHING to solve problems when they had the chance.

Americans do not reward whiners for very long. Americans reward those who solve problems.

Stop bitching about petty and manufactured bullshit, and start putting real solutions to our real problems on the table.

Obamacare was passed by a 'supermajority' of Americans.....hardly.....not ONE republican voted for it.....so you have right there half the country or more.....Obama shoved it through congress without anybody even READING the damn thing...so how could people even have a 'will' about it one way or the other....?

even as this monstrosity has just begun to unfold people are beginning to find it a noose around their necks......people are losing jobs, unions are complaining, companies are hiring only part-timers, people are becoming shellshocked by the higher prices. etc.....the more people sample this dogfood the more they come to hate it...

so i'm afraid your "two-thirds" of Americans who want to keep this monstrosity is waaaay off base...it will soon be just the opposite....

Obamacare was passed by a 'supermajority' of Americans.....hardly.....

Comprehension fail. I said a supermajority are opposed to its repeal. Today. Not three years ago. Today.

Only a third of Americans favor its repeal. So go ahead with that. See how that works out for the GOP.

Most people don't like ObamaCare. And yet most Americans are opposed to its repeal.

This shouts a very important message the GOP is not hearing. All the GOP hears is that most people don't like ObamaCare, and they think that means the people are with them on this suicidal move to defund ObamaCare.

They are missing the forest for the trees.

Most Americans do not want ObamaCare repealed, even though they hate it. This clearly means they would rather have ObamaCare than NOTHING. They hate NOTHING more than they hate ObamaCare. That's what the message is.

The GOP is not getting the message. They aren't very bright.

The GOP is being perceived as offering NOTHING in exchange for ObamaCare.

Understand?

And. Then. What?

This is the part where the GOP stares dumbly into space and then falls on its face.

Obama care will implode on it self, Kids and the folks that are healthy that dont have insurance wont buy it. no need to defund it.

When you say ObamaCare costs too much, most people are going to presume someone else is going to pay for it. Not them. So it does not bother them. At all.

We have $16 trillion of debt. Americans are used to "that guy over there" or their unborn great-grandchildren paying for everything.

The GOP is going to have to come up with a lot better than "it costs too much".

A lot better.

Time to take out the trash. Get the mad dogs away from the microphone and start talking sanely about real solutions to our real problems.

nope...this is the message we are getting...

New polling data obtained exclusively by Breitbart News shows that two thirds of American voters oppose Congress funding the Affordable Care Act—known to its critics as "Obamacare"— because they feel the law is not ready for implementation.
Exclusive?Poll: Two-Thirds of U.S. Voters Think Obamacare 'Not Ready Yet'

Voters think ObamaCare is going to hurt their wallet and over half want the law repealed, according to a new Fox News national poll.

what we had before was better than Obamacare....although it wasn't perfect....

there are solutions to problems that don't entail taking over one sixth of the economy...

Obamacare is worse than doing nothing .. and yet the GOP, which did nothing - which was better, gets chastised. Logic, there is none.

You all are failing to see the big picture that the Dems (and Rs?) have in mind. "Healthcare crisis! Healthcare crisis!", so they passed the ACA to address the healthcare ... er, health insurance crisis. Mighty morphin' Demo-rangers! They knew the ACA was a clusterfuck, they didn't get what they really wanted, they passed it anyway. Ask yourself ... why? Why would they do this? So they can turn around in xx years and say "see, see, we tried to fix this, but because it wasn't really what we wanted it isn't working. The only solution is universal healthcare'. I mean really, this is all working out exactly as the D's want. All they needed was a foot int he door, pry it open, leave it ajar. And the GOP crying 'defund, defund!' with nothing behind it? It will never fly.
