Surprising how many good Americans have been fooled into accepting, and voting for, communism. And when the truth is revealed, they are startled, incensed, and furious that anyone would say such a thing.

Socialism leads to communism. Socialism doesn't work and communism is how they force people to make it work.

The tactics are old ones and it's just incredible that they can use them today. Of course, a whole new generation who hasn't been properly versed in history means a lot of ignorance.

As in the past, the radicals today convince people that they do things for the greater good. If you disagree with them, they accuse you of being uncaring, selfish and intolerant. No one wants to be considered mean and they eventually go with the flow because they don't want to be singled out by often violent protesters.

It's all mind games and people still fall for it.

Whether it's an expanded welfare state or bringing in large numbers of unvetted refugees, people are flat out told that they are heartless if they oppose any of it.

What most oppose isn't helping people, it's the methods by which we aid those in need. One way would help them back on their feet, the other tends to keep them under the wing of nanny government.

If you oppose refugees, you are ridiculed for being afraid of innocent children and widows. Never mind that there are few of those in the groups. The majority are young males and we are quite certain that a percent are radicals who seek to harm us. Simply bringing up a valid concern will cause the loud mouth radicals to target you.

People have rejected the far left ideology and that is why it was never presented honestly. It was sneaked in bit by bit by shaming people into going along.

Sanders is being honest about socialism, something that was never done in the past. What's changed is that liberals involvement in schools changed the way it was presented to students. It's been pushed as the only fair way while capitalism has been painted as evil.

Even with all that, most liberal politicians continue to lie. They have to since so many older people have had the nerve not to die off like they were supposed to. And there are plenty of younger people who reject socialism and , especially communism, because they understand what it means. A few libs in the past have come right out and said that old people have a duty to die. For now, the left is forced to deal with those who do remember history and have good arguments to explain why the left is wrong.

The scary part is that so many indoctrinated idiots have embraced the idea of socialism because they've been taught that anyone who has money has somehow cheated the rest of us.

I'm not quite sure what the end game of this "you're a communist" thing is.

If a part of the electorate (a) looks at things like Medicare and Social Security and progressive tax rates, thinks they're fine, and then (b) sees the hard Right screaming "THAT'S COMMUNISM! THAT'S SOCIALISM!", it's entirely possible that they think, "oh, well, I like those things, so socialism and communism might not be so bad."
