The Internet? Not DARPA, no matter how much you folks like to spin things. The commercial Internet has surpassed any defense "advances" and the government didn't create the concept of networking computers. Research didn't create the notion of e-commerce, either.

TCP/IP, the underlying data protocol that the "Internet" is based on, was invented by a DARPA project. There's no question of that.
