16 gauge - Better than the 12?

Years ago I read some articles extolling the virtues of the 16 gauge shotgun. At the time I had an old single shot that did everything I needed a shotgun for.

Anyone else have any experience with the Sweet 16?
Yep, I got this beautiful 16 gauge Winchester pump 1900 version, so easy to shoot, not very much kick at all

I have never had the opportunity to shoot a 16. I wish I had, but nobody I have ever hunted or shot with has had one. I started shooting a 12 gauge at the age of 12. I tried a 20 for awhile but ended up trading it and went back to a 12; the 20 just could not reach out there far enough.

I have a handful of scatterguns but my main ones are a 12 gauge Remington 1100 and a 12 gauge Browning O/U.
