America voting to support Sweden and Finland in their bid to become NATO members is basically just poking the Russian bear with a stick. Especially egregious to the Russians is Finland's bid because they share a border with Russia.
Stopping the bordering country of Ukraine from becoming a NATO member with nukes is one of the main reasons Putin invaded that country.
All this is doing is ramping up the U.S. to engage in a new Cold War with Russia, and quite possibly a nuclear war in the future.

That would be house members in this case......It's the Senate that must approve membership as they have the say on ratifying treaties or on any changes to existing treaties.....I'm not seeing a up-side here.
