2014: A Referendum, A Choice, A New Direction

1. We all want a good education for our children
2. Good high paying jobs to gain employment in once we're done with 1.
3. A Varity of products to buy with our money

Any party that doesn't do that= no better then the Taliban.

I don't want government meddling in any of those things.

Sorry Jake. Your opinion is silly.

You are out of your damn mind if you think the ACA is going away. The far right are just throwing a tantrum to score political points.

Maybe. But if ACA stays, the country is going away - so it happens either way.

There are countless countries with universal healthcare and the apocalypse didn't happen, actually quite the opposite.

This is why the far right are fighting against it so hard is because once it does go into full effect, the people will love it and bye-bye goes the GOP in 2014 and 2016

Liberals are in such denial. Obama has failed miserably. It's time to stop the handouts and put people back to work. Hard work is a concept Obama and Liberals do not understand.

ACA is not universal healthcare. It's a corporatist sellout to the insurance industry.

Republicans need to adopt good economic policies that promotes science, tech and innovation. This means swinging more towards a PRO middle class economic mindset.

Drop the social issues. No gay marriage oppossion, 20 week abortion or early, and lastly debate illegal immigration with at least some of amnesty with that enforcement.

That will never win. What you just described is democrat lite, and no republican will win on it. You have only pointed out that the right must move once again towards the direction of the left with the left not moving at all, and that's the way republicans lose elections. Just ask Romney.

The right has to take a stand and get back to what they've always stood for, then they might see another president in the White House, because dem lite won't win them anything.

Here's the GOP message:

Clearly, the government just doesn't do a good job, whether it's controlling your healthcare or trying to "fix" the economy. Let's cut taxes, cut spending, and put America back to work. This election's about the choice you have: more of the same big-government, failed policies or a new direction, a brighter future, and a stronger, safer America.

A short while ago there as a a government shut down and democrats said the GOP was done. Since then the wisdom of the shut down was proved, the ACA is going down in flames and the Democrats are done. There's a year to go until the mid terms and we don't know what's going to happen between now and then. The political situation in the US is way too unstable to make any kind of prediction.

"America's gotten way off track. President Obama's government-mandated healthcare scheme is a disaster..."
Yes. After the clusterf--k that is the ObamaCare rollout, and the harm that it is doing to far larger numbers of people than it is helping, it seems likely that the November 2014 mid-term elections will constitute a Referendum, to a far greater extent than we saw in either 2010 or 2012. In any event, we're certainly in for some good Political Theater and one helluva brawl, as the Democrats continue to lose traction and as the modern-day equivalent of Reagan Democrats start bubbling to the surface again in large numbers. Sounds like fun.
