The FACT is that immigrants today are assimilating linguistically and culturally as readily as ever. It is very unlikely that anyone posting here understands better than non-English speaking immigrants how vitally important it is to acquire English and to continually develop one's facility with the language and all that comes with it.

That will never happen. It's a matter of reaching out to customers and getting a sale at every possible point.

The language is just a vehicle. More languages - more vehicles. We should insist that the important things like HOW we live are maintained.

What gets my goat are the morons that are attempting to chip away at our country's heritage like the upcoming 4th of July celebrations. We should care less about a few blown off fingers and more about what the 4th represents... HHMMMmmm??? What does it represent again?
