According to GasBuddy.com, motorists are shelling out $5.89 for a gallon of regular gas at a Shell station in Lake Buena Vista, topping out at $5.99 a gallon for premium. It doesn’t get better at a Suncoast Energy station in Orlando, where drivers are paying $5.79 for a gallon of regular.

Gas prices are pretty volatile here in KC. They keep jumping around and the jump is large. 5 to 10 cents up or down every few days. A week ago 3.39 two days ago 3.51 today 3.45

Offshore drilling was still banned by the states after Bush lifted the federal ban, so nothing had changed as far as offshore drilling was concerned. What changed was tensions between Israel and Iran began to ease, totally unrelated to Bush, and the price came down.
