74 school shootings in 77 weeks...Worth it's own thread.

Interesting, this won't be reported on on the cable news networks. One of the victims in the Las Vegas shooting was a concealed carry permit holder(Joseph Wilcox). He wounded one of the shooters. Apparently a fund is being set up for his widow. But yea lets just ban guns or something.

Family mourns man killed while trying to stop shooting spree | Las Vegas Review-Journal

One more idiot with a gun and no bloody clue how to use it.

Knows how to use it better than you muslim faggot. Why don't you bugger off to your festering third world shit hole and stay out of the politics of first world nations.

Show some respect for the dead and for fallen heroes.

Also stay away from my guns and out of my country.

Ah, when you have no argument, accuse me of being gay and suggest my religion is an impediment to knowledge.
Excellent.
If this "hero" was a fit person to save the day, how come the daft fucker totally failed to cover his rear?
That's why he's just one more dead idiot with a gun.

74 school shootings in the past 77 weeks.

Not 74 chemical bombings, not 74 stabbings, not 74 bows and arrows, not 74 hatchet attacks. The common denominator (do I need to define that term for you?) is guns.

If you Ammo-sexuals want to keep, sleep with and insert your guns into your privates because I really think it's that sick, then figure out a way to stop this epidemic.

This data tells me that the parents of these kids are pretty much out of touch with their kids, so start with them.

Do something besides shoving the 2nd Amendment in my face and whining about your fucking rights. Your rights end when innocent people who cannot protect themselves die.

One more idiot with a gun and no bloody clue how to use it.

Funny, he did a good enough job that he was their last victim, then the cowards took themselves out, as often happens when crazies meet resistance. The man put his life on the line to save others, something I'm very sure you would never do.

You have no idea why they took themselves out.

At the end of the day you live in a society awash with guns, and you have almost one mass shooting a week. What a great society to live in!! NOT...

It is an impediment, you are a snarky third world savage with no conception of liberty or personal responsibility. Ogga booga gimmedat.

The bottom line is, a faggot like you would have been pumped full of lead and not fought back leading to more deaths, this man gave his life and forced these wounded scumbags into retreat, thus preventing further death.

I'm 66. I went to public schools in the 50s and 60s. School shootings were unheard of. There were fewer gun laws. There were guns everywhere just like today. There's something going on, but it has nothing to do with law abiding citizens.

Our society has been corrupted. our children are being fed with darkness instead of light.

Laws won't fix the problem. Fixing our culture will.

And still, you refuse to look at the root cause of these tragedies. Hint: it's not guns.

Bullets?

Of course if you walk into a school with a handful of bullets and start hurling them at children, you're not going to kill anyone.

So it seems that you're incorrect, guns are as much a part of the problem as the bullets they fire.

Better luck next time.

Guys murder didn't exist before guns were invented. Didn't' you know?

No wonder they want to delete the 10 Commandments from schools, it proves that murder occurred before guns existed!

I think that this is due to gun culture in America & some people have lost their moral responsibility in America. Parents are so busy that they could not spent time with their childrens.

Yes, yes, yes. I remember the last Tea Party event I attended. They had a class on shooting cops and then a suicide pact. I think the only ones who attended were the instructors.

How many of those places are gun free zones?

Why are those innocent people not allowed to defend themselves?

Exactly. Guns aren't new. What has changed are too many young people on anti-depressants and Ritalin. Gun-free zones are new. It's the mentality of too many parents not doing their job because they think the schools or the government should do it for them.

Also, the zero tolerance doesn't allow for normal behavior sometimes. Boys used to get into fights and would make up and end up friends. Now the smallest thing gets kids suspended and it leaves many confused and even bitter. Children are herded through the halls like cattle and they bottle up emotions, when kids act out they end up on Ritalin and one day they just go off the deep end.

Guns were not a problem years ago. That was when parents gave a shit and schools didn't try to control every movement they made with threat of punishment for the non-conformists. I think we are messing kids up with all this and that is what needs to stop.

Too many teachers have suggested putting kids on Ritalin and it's because too many rowdy ass children are sent off to school by loser parents who never disciplined them.

The shootings are a symptom. People aren't going off the deep end because guns exist. Killers are being created and it's all about the mindset these days of too many idiots. Taking away toy guns and suspending kids over gun-shaped pop tarts isn't the answer and is likely part of the cause.

I hate to think what else they'd do. Blowing a school up or starting a fire might take out even more lives. We need to address the real problem and not just have hissy fits over guns. There are worse things.

There are far more deaths due to illegal guns on the streets of Chicago, but the left won't talk about that because they know that the strict gun laws there only disarmed the innocent people and allowed the criminals to run amok.

And the Republican plan for stopping gun violence is "More guns!"

Great plan, Republicans.

Why not try raising the standard of living so that millions of Americans aren't so hopeless and desperate to the point that they commit crimes? Why not stop glorifying greed with a bunch of Ayn Rand bullshit so that our "culture" isn't so preoccupied with material possessions? As long as the American system is based on superficial consumerism and greed, people are going to continue to do whatever it takes to get themselves ahead, regardless of however many laws are passed.

As was stated, we need to change our culture. Republicans, however, are not the ones to do it.

Well, at least you participated. Fail again. I would wish you luck on your future endeavor of trying to solve this problem but I'd be remiss to think that you would have anything to offer other than spoon fed slop.

Don't hold your breath for anything more.

After so many of these, LOLberal morons still blame an inanimate object for the behaviors of a human.

:cuckoo:

But America doesn't have a problem with gun violence, right?
We have a problem with violence violence.

The gun is no more at fault than flatware is to blame for America's obesity problem.

Since I've shot your logic (lack of) down several times, why do you continue to run your mouth?

Your "logic" gives intent to an in inanimate object. Violence is an action undertaken by a human, not a gun. Not a knife, bat, golf club, hammer, vehicle pr any other of the dozens of inanimate objects available to an individual with the intent to cause violence.

That "logic"?

Reading is not your strong suit. Nor is logic.

Adam Lanza without a gun was nothing but a twisted little freak. A classroom of kids could have held him down until cops arrived.

Same with the lunatic who shot up the movie theater. If he attacked the theater with a baseball bat he might have gotten one person, but then his ass would have pulverized by others in the theater.

You gun nutters must know how spineless and powerless you are without your penis substitutes.
