Totally dependent on the housing market and tourism
Add selective oil and gas sector activities watch them what occurs as an example

Except that before the late 70's, it was pretty much socially unacceptable to have women in the workforce or 2 income families... it is accepted that you start comparing from the time in the late 70's when that changed until now... and it is amazing the downturn we have had in recent years, and it is a VERY disturbing trend

There are lots of jobs opening in the energy field. And as we baby boomers retire there will be more tech jobs opening. The future, in my opinion, is bright for an educated, in the right degree, person. Get an English degree? Might as well throw the money away. Learn a craft or a skill, the world is yours, in my opinion.

but for those without skill or education the future is one of dependency, in my opinion. The Clinton "free" trade agreements took away the manufacturing jobs for these people. The illegals flooding the country with the blessing of the liberal left has taken what is left. That leaves only dependency on welfare for the rest. Sad state of affairs the left wing has brought onto American. Good thing they have accomplished men like Romney to blame for their disasters.
