They work in other countries, gun laws. The US has by far the highest number of gun deaths than any other developed nation. If America isn't great, this is one reason.

You should check out Chicago. The strictest gun laws in the country. Also highest murder rate per capita in the country.

When we talk about gun laws, Chicago is a deflection. Chicago is a center for drug cartels. The killings there are related to an intensely serious drug problem. It is not the same as a private citizen, usually white btw, going out and killing dozens of people in a few seconds during a gun spree. Two very unrelated issues. Illegal guns are in circulation in Chicago. True. But they are in circulation because of the illegal drug cartels there. It's a different situation that also needs to be dealt with.

Again totally wrong. We have continuously made the laws against drunk driving more severe. Perhaps you are not old enough to know that. We have regularly increased the penalties for robbery, murder and other violent crimes.
