It isn't because of what they eat, moron. I've eaten many meals in South American, and I can tell you from personal observation that they don't eat healthy food. Arepas aren't healthy. They are pure cornstarch - empty calories. The same goes for rice. And fried plantains are not only entirely lacking in any protein or vitamins, they are loaded with fat. They're about as healthy as donuts. The same goes for refried beans. Tortillas - ditto.
