As each day passes, the U.S. political climate gets weirder and weirder.

At the link below is a list of dyed-in-the-wool Republicans who do NOT want Trump for President of the United States. They are pledging their support to Hilary Clinton, and are the cream of the Republican establishment. Many are individuals current Trump supporters worshiped in the past.

But decades of unfulfilled promises made by the GOP establishment elite, in 2016, forced the “angry whites” to seek a new hero, with new promises to go unfulfilled. Enter Donald Trump.

Just as the Republican Party spent years failing to meeet the demands of their rank-and-file concerning issues like abortion, reinstating Christian prayer in public schools, permitting the scourge of same-sex marriage to spread like disease across the nation, and many other items wanted by the repressive right wing, The Donald will run up against a wall of obstructionism from both Democrat AND Republican lawmakers.

Of course, tax cuts for the fat cats and expensive (and needless) wars will remain a priority for the GOP and Trump, as will stacking the Supreme Court will conservatives to further oppress women, minorities, the LGBTQ community, and other groups right-wingers deem unfit to live.

But, as far as the wild promises, tall tales, fibs, and outright lies Trump tells that make his minions giddy, they ain’t gonna happen. Get used to it righties, the billionaires you empowered for decades still own all the Republicans in government, and nearly all the Democrats as well.

Your continuing disappointment will be gratifying to people of reason, as many of you finally realize Trump has taken you for a ride, and you refuse to admit The Donald had you pegged as the suckers you are from day one.

As far as Hilary Clinton's campaign, the liberal media held her to a higher standard, and pretty much killed her chances. The press ignoring both Trump’s idiocy and his unfitness to be POTUS proves crappy journalism, not his ability, swayed the number of wishy-washy moderates needed to elect Trump.

The four years of Trump's administration will be a comedy to behold, as the term “right wing nuts” becomes a world-wide chorus. U.S. allies will quickly turn their backs on the “crazies in America” and that clown-with-the-bad-comb-over they put into the White House.

George H.W. Bush would join many other Republicans in supporting Hillary Clinton. Here’s a list.

The media....not necessarily all liberal, did hold Hillary to a higher standard...they almost treated Trump like the clown that he is and did not take anything he said seriously....but it didn't kill her chances. She continues to hold a lead over Trump....and now that the Trump foundation has come under scrutiny for Trump's scamming ways.....not all of his supporters are starry-eyed morons that don't care about his character. They have forgiven him much, but honestly, saying that you are charitable and then actually using the money from the Charity Foundation for your own personal disposal may not sit well with anyone that has any integrity.

One of the things that is going to make HRC's coronation so satisfying to a great number of us is that the GOP rank and file knows better and still was not interested enough in their "deep bench" to get involved. There were what, 6 governors or former governors; Three or four current or former Senators. And the "outsiders" who may as well have been democrats for all of the patronage they have paid to the GOP. And still one of them came away with the nomination!!!!

The GOP is so happy with their selections moving forward that in an election season that sat up for them absolutely perfectly....they chose a dope without a hope.

False premise. Trump is the Republican nominee. Trump's backers are the Republican party. Clinton backers are not Republicans,"dyed-in-the-wool" or otherwise.

"As far as Hilary Clinton's campaign, the liberal media held her to a higher standard..."

Bullshit. It's pretty obvious to all but the determinately blind that nobody in the Obama administration or the media has been being held to any sort of legal or ethical standard. Americans are tired of the corruption. That's why Trump will be elected.

I find it funny that you people don't believe one word a republican ever says but now you all believe them when they say who they are voting for

It would be the funniest thing ever if they were just saying this to fuck with you wouldn't it?

Didn't bother to count those on the list. Assuming 50. How many Conservative these 50 influence to vote with them? Zero.

Yep, the owners of this country are getting worried about trump's chances. The bushes and clintons are cut from the same mold. Serve the interests of the banks, wall street, and corporations, and especially the "defense" industry, steal what you can along the way, while trying to pretend you give a shit about we the people. Looks like they're on the same team in the long run. Now they're teaming up to try to ruin the Donald's chances at the white house.

Shame on you, muddying up the discussion by pointing out the obvious and ruining the spin.
