Okay, so you're okay with a few hundred thousand birds dying from green energy.A few hundred thousand birds die from turbines a year. A few hundred MILLION birds die from running into buildings.Oh, okay. So you don't mind some deaths in the name of green energy. Can you quantify it, or is any number of dead animals okay with you in the name of "saving the planet"?The number of bird deaths from windmills is minuscule. This is not a serious argument.Nope. I'm not an environmentalist looking to excuse how dangerous to wildlife wind turbines are.Cell phone towers kill many more birds. Going to give up your cell phone?Environmentalists don't give a shit.Wind turbines kill birds, even eagles are killed by them. This isn’t that complicated. Just put up a wind turbine somewhere that charges the batteries.
So, in summary, you're not willing to give up your phone or halt wind turbines.
So, that moral high ground you claim you're standing on is a pile of dead animals.
If it was cost-effective, companies would be doing it.It said nothing about cost efficacy.Yes, it did. Most blades are being landfilled. Why? Because there's no cost-effective means of recycling them.I suggest you read the article. There is no cost-effective means of recycling them now.No they don’t. Read the article. They can be ground up and converted to other things. They last forever. Their service lifetimes don't.Chemical packed wind turbine blades piling up in landfills......This isn’t that complicated. Just put up a wind turbine somewhere that charges the batteries.

Yes, I’m okay with a few hundred thousand birds dying to promote green energy that will prevent global warming that will result in destruction of habitat that will kill billions of birds.Okay, so you're okay with a few hundred thousand birds dying from green energy.A few hundred thousand birds die from turbines a year. Since you haven't called for the removal of buildings, apparently you're okay with a few hundred million dying.
You can stop calling yourself an environmentalist now.
What about 1.4 million birds based on bullshit lies and a hoax? People who actually care about birds say you're full of shit.I know there are windmills in the Altamont pass and maybe one or two birds are republican enough to fly into the blades.Tax Man thinks it's funny that over a million birds are killed by wind turbines every year. You are advocating the deaths of 1.4 MILLION birds per year. The number of bird deaths from windmills is minuscule. Every year, an estimated 75 to 110 Golden Eagles are killed by the wind turbines in the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area (APWRA). Some lose their wings, others are decapitated, and still others are cut in half. The lethal turbines, numbering roughly 6,000, are arrayed across 50,000 acres of rolling hills in northeastern Alameda and southeastern Contra Costa counties. The APWRA, built in the 1980s, was one of the first wind energy sites in the U.S. At the time, no one knew how deadly the turbines could be for birds. Few would now deny, however, that Altamont Pass is probably the worst site ever chosen for a wind energy project. According to a 2004 California Energy Commission (CEC) report, as many as 380 Burrowing Owls (also a state-designated species of special concern), 300 Red-tailed Hawks, and 333 American Kestrels are killed every year. In all, as many as 4,700 birds die annually as a result of the wind turbines.

We are at least 50 years away from STARTING to seriously get off fossil fuels, a notion these green commies simply refuse to understand. If our civilization does not self destruct, we will eventually solve most energy problems. But it is not now. And it can not be rushed without causing massive problems keeping people alive. To invest a bit and let the technology come when it is feasable and keep using what we have, that will be the best improvements to our energy and efficiency needs. A/C and Heating and insulation and better windows mandates with better construction techniques can save a lot. And the criminals who will run the Green Energy movement will use this as the reason we have saved energy after spending a thousand times more for it.The charge efficiency of the lithium ion batteries is a lot closer to 99%Panels charge a power wall. Power wall charges car.Unless you work nights, that’s not going to happen.I have solar panels to charge mine. This isn’t that complicated. Just put up a wind turbine somewhere that charges the batteries.
Sounds like you can be the first customer.
Power walls are just batteries.
And batteries are about 50% efficient to charge, and 50% efficient to discharge, so you are down to 25% efficiency even before you try to recharge the car batteries.
Nor are batteries cheap.
They are about $7k to $10k, and only last about 10 years.

And there’s not even that many of them.
There are not that many of them now because there is not much wind power for electricity now.
But we would have to increase the windmills by factors of tens of thousands in order to make a serious dent in power consumption if we were to try to convert to electric cars.

Only a leftist believes a gas-powered generator recharging an electric car is a good idea.
You're just relocating the pollution.
The charging is done during the work hours not while on the road.California already have a serious problem keeping the lights on today. They have rolling blackouts. Where is the additional power to come from?
That's exactly correct.
If we are going to get to the point where everyone is driving electric cars, we are going to have spend trillions of dollars upgrading the grid.
Right now, you'd have power outages every day at rush hour because we can't generate enough electricity to meet the demand.
