Do you expect him to face prison, serious bodily injury, or death because he announced he is gay? What the fuck makes what he did any more courageous than walking across the street?
You've never faced adversity in your life so I wouldn't expect you to understand. But being the first person to announce you're gay in a world that is extremely masculine and it being unclear how you will be treated and ultimately affect your livelihood is courageous.

Actually, I see this as more of an indication that the left is incapable of adhering to what they say they want.
If we are supposed to accept deviant sexual behavior as a lifestyle choice we should not make a big deal about it when someone is homosexual.
