I think the primaries are about parties vetting and weighing out the best candidate for the most likely win in the Fall. And to that qualification, John Kasich handily wins.
This is why the RNC adn the DNC babysit the primaries and hold the "veto" in the conventions....because if not, it would just cleanly be up to the voters to pick 'their favorite persona' without regard to how that persona might adversely affect the party brand.
The parties have a right to do this, both of them. And it's why even if Sanders pulled ahead, the superdelegates wouldn't pick him anyway. He would make the word "democrat" synonymous with "communist". And that's a brand and administration that would burn deep in the skin of that party for many decades to come, to the entire party's detriment....as the normal political winds shift this way and that left or right of the MIDDLE mindset..
