1.Ever since I moved to Switzerland, I am living more like an American, than I ever have, in America in 27 years time.

2. The things I depended on in the USA, like my car, isn't needed.
So cars are a lot less expensive, because they have to actually SELL me a product.
This means it has to be excellent quality at a low price.

12 grand, buys me a Chevrolet that is made here of European parts, of much better quality than a Chevrolet in the USA.

An inferior Chevrolet in the USA in both technology and quality would cost me $30,000

Garbage that is made in Mexico of a mish mash of parts for $30,000 would never make the cut.

3. I live in the suburbs here because I can afford it, but here in Europe I can live in the city, and I have no problems, I have absolutely nobody out there wanting to take away from me, what I have, because we actually have.

4. I noticed the average European household has twice to three times as much stuff like Electronics, Clothing, Furniture, etc than what the Average is in the USA.

5. Sure, the USA is well known for having packed refrigerators and cabinets, but the exact same, of slightly different food, and the same basic ingredients are here as well.
and you know what ?
Much of what the USA has, is also found here except for the absolute Americanisms from Philadelphia and New York, etc.

Switzerland is one of the most expensive places on the planet to live. A 90 square meter apartment on the isle St. Louis in Paris is over a million Euro's...... we know, it's right next door to my wife's apartment....

In other words, you're full of it....

real estate is expensive but you know what ?

People don't live in the fucking streets, they make enough to live here, and obviously not everybody lives in a million euro house.

and we're talking about Switzerland, not fucking paris france.

so you are full of it

Here in America a house is roughly half that, half a million lol right here in America, and people in America DONT make enough for it lol

I don’t know about Switzerland but stating that Europeans have more crap than Americans (twice as much according to you) is absolute rubbish. I lived in Germany for several years and the average German household has FAR less and virtually everything costs twice as much. The ‘better cars’ is another line of BS.
I seriously doubt that you have ever actually been to Europe.

She came in here last night blathering about how the USA should be all white because whites are superior...just like in europe.:cuckoo:

Yeap. You're an idiot. Stop trashing my country woman.

I guess this explains the tidal wave of unhappy Americans emigrating and finding happiness and bliss in Europe.

I might even go back to my old country, myself, after having lived here for half a century.

Yeah, right!

Never been outside the US. Well, Hawaii (look it up hehe.) But my Mom did a European 2nd honeymoon and raved about it. Though all that stuck out to me was "porn on regular tv" in France. :)

If you're good with foreign languages, getting out in the world's a nice idea. Without comparison and contrast, you can't really say your home country's superior to anywhere else. Only thing keeping me here right now is family. Mom isn't interested in Aliyah to Israel, and I wouldn't be happy leaving her behind. But eventually I'll go...Hopefully not for a good long while.

1.Ever since I moved to Switzerland, I am living more like an American, than I ever have, in America in 27 years time.

Hmmm, I wonder if that is the case for me? In some sense I accentuate some aspects, such as my dress, but the way I dress is not even "every day" for most Americans. I must ponder this further. People do seem to know that I am from...America...even though my Swedish is good.

.

I don't have a car either. I can walk anywhere in Stockholm or take the subway all hours of the day safely regardless of weather. Talk about savings! The connections to the train terminal and highspeed rail will get me to Denmark, Amsterdam, Berlin within a day in total comfort.

3. I live in the suburbs here because I can afford it, but here in Europe I can live in the city, and I have no problems, I have absolutely nobody out there wanting to take away from me, what I have, because we actually have.

I live in downtown Stockholm. I might move to the country or a smaller city one day if only my partner would agree. She is a true, "old family" blue blood of Gamla Stan just blocks from the royal palace, so pulling her out of downtown will be like doing a root canal.

4. I noticed the average European household has twice to three times as much stuff like Electronics, Clothing, Furniture, etc than what the Average is in the USA.

That might be a German and Swiss thing. Clutter I haven't noticed much from the "IKEA" kingdom of minimalism. I like that. Bright, white, cheerful, uncluttered.

5. Sure, the USA is well known for having packed refrigerators and cabinets, but the exact same, of slightly different food, and the same basic ingredients are here as well.

I haven't found that in Scandanavia. McDonalds and such, but not a lot of product I love like Old Spice and such. A lot of restrictions on what they deem as unfriendly to the environment and health.

Great post. Thank you.

One advantage of living in Europe is that there's always the US to bail you out when another country comes and kicks your fucking ass.

you may want to read this before you try to BS your way about living in Switzerland

Cost of Living in Switzerland. Prices in Switzerland.

oh you may also want to check out this. btw 1 chf = about 1.25 usd. Chevrolets must be collectors items in Switzerland. seeing how you can buy a new one for $12 k but take it off the lot, put 12,000 mile on it and it appreciates to about $30k

Chevrolet Malibu ? compare prices and save

It seems that you are even more full of it as Switzerland has never been in Paris, FRANCE it is a completely separate country. It would be like saying that Washington is a suburb of Ottawa.

I'm fairly sure that young Westwall is using Isle St. Louis as a reference point, and is well aware of it not being within Switzerland. That's how I read it, anyway.

But why would he do that, since the OP is about Switzerland?

It would be like me talking about real estate in Denver, and someone posting that real estate is sky-high in Beverly Hills.

You are either clueless, or blind, or just simply outright lying. I'll let you pick which one but as someone who has lived, and travels in Europe a lot, I can categorically say you're full of shit.
