Attorney General Merrick Garland said this week that he will defy subpoenas from Congressional Republicans that he does not agree with.
Garland’s statement came after Republican leaders in Congress threatened to hold him in contempt “in their efforts to gain access to audio recordings from special counsel Robert K. Hur’s investigation into President Biden’s handling of classified materials,” according to the Washington Post.
Commentary:
Like his buddy Eric Holder, Congress will do nothing to AG Garland despite holding him in Contempt.

That is unless Congress goes further and finds him in “Inherent Contempt”, meaning the capitol police can go and grab him. It takes a vote of contempt first, then another vote of inherent contempt to then declare that he is evading justice.
This will set up a showdown, however, it will put this administration on the spot, because Biden is the one who said “no one is above the law.”
