Oh Bullshit. I've been there. Obviously you haven't. Point Pleasant (where we saw all the Weather Channel people reporting from) is just fine. This summer you could tour a mini-museum photo exhibit on the beach under a big tent, and some reconstruction is still going on but on the whole doesn't look different from any other year. Down the coast in Seaside, there's less open and more construction but it's obviously getting done. You're a fucking idiot.

I live on the Jersey Shore and given the amount of destruction, it is amazing what has come back in one year. It has all come down to prioritizing what needs to be done first. Alot of the early work was just assessing damage, rebuilding basic infrastructure and laying the groundwork for a full rebuild

Christie and the Federal Government have done a great job in helping the shore recover. Christie did a great job in establishing priorities and has been a monster in insisting on stricter rebuilding standards so we don't go through this again and again
