Hornady refuses to sell ammo to NY agencies after Cuomo gun initiative

april 30 2018 Ammunition giant Hornady is cutting off government buyers in New York over an order by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to financial services companies regarding gun politics.

Steve Hornady, the company’s president of manufacturing, announced on social media on Friday that the ammo maker will halt sales of their products to Cuomo’s state government or agencies in the Empire State. The move comes after an order directed by Cuomo earlier last month that cautioned banks, insurance companies and lenders against involvement with the National Rifle Association and similar organizations. Slamming the Governor’s move as one of the most “despicable acts ever perpetrated by any state,” Hornady closed the doors to the state.

“While it may not make a difference to New York, Hornady will not knowingly allow our ammunition to be sold to the Government of the State of NY or any NY agencies,” Hornady said. “Their actions are a blatant and disgusting abuse of office and we won’t be associated with a government that acts like that.”

Good idea. Disarm them.

How about a national movement of all firearms and ammo manufacturers against Leftist state and municipal governments?

They want gun control? There ya go.

ALL gun and ammunition makers need to start doing this. Any State that restricts the ability of the People to own guns needs to be cut off. I would sell nothing to ANY law enforcement agency in that State. That will send a more powerful message than anything else could.

Only problem is this hurts the profit of hornady and helps their competition. Us gun owners need to help out hornady and buy more of our ammo from them

Agreed, but they would have to ban together and all of them do it And I don’t see that happening

The other ammo makers will join hornady if all us gun owners start buying only hornady ammo. Here's an opportunity for us gun owners to do something besides talk.

Remington and Fiocchi are better ammunition products. As for not dealing with NY and its armed agencies, if they did a lot of business with NY, then they should reconsider, however, if NY agencies don't contract a great deal of business with Hornady, I suggest they focus more on gun-friendly states and their armed agencies.

No, they're not. Hornady is absolutely top tier. Better than Fiochi by a long country mile.

The Nazi govt will simply contract their ammo with the likes of Radford arsenal and the sheep will continue blindly following orders( govt jobs) and further enslaving themselves.
