Most of the folks arrested on that day were arrested for trespassing. Those that committed crimes were arrested as well. I have no problem with that. If you commit a crime you face justice.

As for Portland, Seattle and Indi the leaders of those cities told their police forces to stand down. They sat there and watched businesses looted and burned to the ground. So of course there were no arrests. They regretted it later but you can't fix stupid.

The charges against the Jan 6 rioters are much the same as the charges against the BLM rioters on the coast. So yes, they were rioting.
