Generally unless they have underlying health issues or are vitamin A deficient measles is like a mild cold with a rash. They died. Went deaf. Got brain damaged. Otherwise no one would much care. What's so scary about Measles? People got them when I was a kid, nobody died.
Looked to me like they just got red dots and a fever for a day or two.![]()
My mom had them when she was a kid and they obviously didn't kill her or I wouldn't be here of course. I've never had them and I am 36 now.If you were around it when you were a kid and didn't get it, you won't as an adult, either. Not so great when you're an adult. What's so scary about Measles? Never had the childhood diseases or the vaccines but my children shared everything they got at school with me. Chickenpox gave me a very close call as it went down into my lungs and intestines and pneumonia ensued on top of that. My immunity was weak and I weighed only 96 lbs. when my average is 130. I still wouldn't want to force vaccines on anyone else. That would be like trying to contract out your body's immune system to someone else which is ridiculous.I've been around kids with mumps, measles..no more than 2 days out of school and they were back.
"Chikn Pops" too.
(Chicken Pox)
I heard Smallpox was worse, never saw anyone with that.
The anti-vaxxer movement is Nature’s way of weeding out the stupid.
Watch the end if it's too long fer yuz
Instead go to a place where kindness, understanding, and general altruism reign supreme: the internet.![]()
Fine, That is why it should be a personal choice.Measles is a highly contagious, serious disease caused by a virus. Before the introduction of measles vaccine in 1963 and widespread vaccination, major epidemics occurred approximately every 2–3 years and measles caused an estimated 2.6 million deaths each year.
Approximately 110 000 people died from measles in 2017 – mostly children under the age of 5 years, despite the availability of a safe and effective vaccine.
Accelerated immunization activities have had a major impact on reducing measles deaths. During 2000– 2017, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 21.1 million deaths. Global measles deaths have decreased by 80% from an estimated 545 000 in 2000* to 110 000 in 2017.
Measles
What about the people that want nothing to do with the collective telling them what to do?There are two types of anti-vaxxers - right-wing nutjobs who hate Big Gubmint and left-wing nutjobs who hate Big Biznis.

This socialism of forcing people into shit they want nothing to do with, is getting old...
I actually had a (mild) case of the measles when I was in 3rd grade....kept me home quarantined for two weeks as I remember....I did experience a minor hearing lose because of it....tho not enough to keep me from qualifying for Naval Aviator. Sadly, I had nothing to spare and being around C-130s,....I now have a substantial loss in my left ear and a moderate loss in my right ear. They died. Went deaf. Got brain damaged. No one should force someone else’s kids to put poison in their body if they don’t want that.Fine, That is why it should be a personal choice.

3 year-olds don't make choices.
