I bought some just to have. You never know when you may need a fast acting way to stop bleeding. So, anyone use it, or do I have to slice arm open to find out? ;)

I do have military quikclot powder in my SHTF medical bag.
Paid $800 bucks and then some on stuff the bag didnt contain.
I have morphine, sutures, staples and gun and a host of other emergency items.
What I'm looking for now is injectable lidocaine for sewing up big gashes.
I figure if it gets any worse than that your probably gonna die anyway.

So is a plastic bag.
At least when I worked ER we had a vasoline saturated gauze of some sort handy at triage in case some one came through the front door with a GSW or a stabbing in the chest. I do not even know how many time that has come in handy. Lets see, they came in a thin foil pack you pulled open from a split in the foil. and slapped it right on the wound.
