So what is the scientific evidence that shows you have a greater chance of getting coronavirus by going to church than you do going to Walmart, Target, any grocery store, restaurant or the many other places being allowed to open up to some degree? Surly Governor Newsome and these other Governors are not suggesting that churches can not practice social distancing limiting the number of people in a church based on it's capacity and the same type of saftey measures these other places do.

But by holding a press conference demanding action, he is able to clearly demonstrate to those wishing to have the opportunity to attend their house of worship, that it's governors (particularly Dimocrat governors) who are the ones that are forcing their church to stay closed.

It gives those who are proponents of separation of church and state, a talking point, that the government is infringing on their religious rights. And yes, I'm aware that a declaration of a state emergency can trump the rights of worshippers to congregate.
