As if the US Army doesn't already have enough problems...🤣

Infantry battles will be reduced if it is proven they cannot sustain a cohesive will to win. It means missiles will fly sooner. And nuclear missiles included. When it is finished tolerance will be nonexistent. So, there will be no slow escalation at some point.
Like Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Excellent. The more exposure, the better! Wouldn't you agree?

Not really. IT seems to me that to get to o-6, this guy would have had to have been pretty good at his job.

What kind of kink he does in his off hours, as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, really isn't a big deal.

Sorry! You apparently know nothing of the UCMJ.
LOL. Ok. Tell me how I’m wrong.

He clearly violated the uniform regulations, so 92 is easy

I find it hard to believe it would be difficult to convince a military jury that that picture was conduct unbecoming an officer. 133.

He could be charged under numerous parts of 134.

Fraternization
Conduct to bring discredit upon the service

To name just 2.

He is retired, dumbass!

Uniform regulations are not punishable under the UCMJ, and the entire thing looks like a photoshopped picture to me.

Fraternization? He's retired!

Conduct unbecoming is hard to prove simply by a picture. Good luck with that!

I told you that you know nothing about the UCMJ.

Woof. :laughing0301:

Good God man, that top photo is an official photo that has been photoshopped to add the mask. And if you look you can see where the name plate on the right breast pocket has been photoshopped out. You have been duped.

.

A. This guy likely took this picture the day of his retirement. (IE the day he had his retirement ceremony) No one retires without taking terminal leave, so this idiot was likely not actually retired when this went down. He was likely 60+ days from it.

B. Even if he were officially retired you can still be charged under the UCMJ as an active-duty retiree.

"The UCMJ normally does not apply to veterans. Specifically, veterans cannot be court-martialed if they were discharged from active duty before they reached 20 years of service or retired from the reserves and aren’t entitled to retirement pay until age 60. However, the following two groups of retirees are treated like active-duty members and can be charged under the UCMJ:

  • Active-duty veterans who retired from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, or Coast Guard and are entitled to immediate retirement pay
  • Navy-Marine Corps Fleet Reservists (those who retired from the Navy or Marine Corps between 20 and 30 years of service)"

C. Uniform Regulations are an order (they arent a suggestion) and if you violate them, you are in violation of Article 92.

"(1) violates or fails to obey any lawful general order or REGULATION;

(2) having knowledge of any other lawful order issued by any member of the armed forces, which it is his duty to obey, fails to obey the order; or

(3) is derelict in the performance of his duties;"

(my emphasis)

D. For 133, I could get a conviction from a jury with 1 sentence. "He was promoting a sexual kink in his uniform, in public, here's a photo of it." You're honor I rest my case.

E. He obviously had an inappropriate relationship with subordinates. The pictures of the other military members showing their little dog masks IN UNIFORM mind you, giving their farewells on social media. You'll notice the ranks, Specialist and Sgt. That's E-4 and 5. Again. 1-2 sentences and the pictures and I've got my conviction. How much do you want to bet if you went back into those moron's social media histories there are all kinds of photos of this nature, not that you would need them to get a conviction.

So tell me again who the "dumb ass" is.

You could, but why? Because he took a silly picture? That seems a bit stupid.

So we have to either assume this Colonel was really good at keeping a secret (was most of his service in the reserves or Guard?) or that his superiors knew about his tendencies and chose to ignore them because he was good at his job and they are having enough personnel problems.

I doubt they will, but the contention was that they couldn't which clearly isnt the case. If they do it will be because of the dishonor he's bringing on the service.

If he kept it in private I dont think anyone would care, nor could they really do anything even if they did. The moment he posted his little picture in uniform with his dog mask it became a problem. A you can see just on this board, people dont associate this Col with the act all they see is the uniform.

What dishonor? You mean because you have a hangup. I mean, I think it's a little silly, but there are a lot of things I think are silly.

Last time I checked, it was a free country.

I guess. I think we have much bigger problems than the kinks of a retired colonel.

ANY sexual "thing" in uniform. He could but fucking his wife in the missionary position in an attempt to get her pregnant, if he's doing it in public, in uniform it's a problem.

Im not saying we dont. The fact remains he could be charged under the UCMJ. Also, it's not like the people dealing with this issue would be taken off any of the "problems" you are referring to, to deal with this Col and his court martial if the Army decided that was the route they wanted to go.

Um, he's wearing a mask. That's hardly sexual.

This story will disappear in a day or two. Put this officer on trial, and it will drag on for months. Seems like you want to create a bigger problem.

Again, a lot of shit is against regulations, and they are rarely enforced, and even more rarely in "Officer Country".

I don't think this is a good thing. Major Hasan should have been separated long before he shot up Fort Hood... but "Officer Country".

It's a violation of the uniform regualtion. Period. Full stop.

The post was about whether he COULD be charged not if he SHOULD be charged. I never said he should be only that he could be. I still havent.

See above. Admiral Dip Shit's contention was that he COULDnt' be charged. My post proved him wrong.

We are fucking doomed.
The USA is basically a failed state. The federal government is only standing because most of the prosperous states are supporting it for now. Once the dollar finally does collapse it's over.
