At this point, we know the differences are irreconcilable between libs and conservatives

Ray, you should read up on the reason why the average intelligence person and the low intelligence people like you, believe they are smart. If you don't know where to look for the answer, I could help with a link.

I noticed because when you mention 'most of the people on USMC', you were really just talking about yourself.

No, I say what I mean. People who involve themselves with politics are generally more knowledgeable on the subject than those who are not, no different than people who are involved in sports, music or any kind of entertainment. Just because a person gets an advanced education doesn't make them an expert on any subject that comes up. So it's likely the people here (all people left, right, in between) know more about politics than somebody that graduated college with a business degree.

Low intelligence people like myself understand the difference between the words "smart" and "logical." They are not the same thing, but I don't expect such a high intelligence person like yourself to know that.

You actually have a lot of chutzpah. You are a Canadian citizen who comes onto an American forum, and insults Americans who didn’t vote for the weak, demented old man In the American election.

There are many, many intelligent and highly educated people who voted for Trump. They had the foresight to realize what would happen if Biden won…..and it’s all coming true.

I really don’t understand the “logic” of liberals like Donald H. We see the results of those who voted in Biden as president - from the invasion of illegals at the border to pushing policies to increase inflation to making us energy dependent to being so weak that Putin took the opportunity to invade Ukraine to leaving thousands of Americans to the Taliban, etc., etc., etc. - and then they call those of us who voted for Trump stupid.

Yep. Another one that doesn't understand what common sense is because he doesn't possess that quality himself.

That's where politics comes into play. Dementia can't afford any higher prices at this point. This week alone, the station I buy my gasoline went from $3..35 a gallon to $3.80 in two separate jumps. Experts predict it's going to go much higher than that. Russia is now the worlds largest exporter of fuel, a job that was USA's during the Trump years.

But if we did refuse to buy more oil from Russia, they would take a huge hit because we are the worlds largest consumer of oil China included. If President Trump was still in office he would have opened the doors to exploration and drilling like we've never seen before, and replace that Russian oil with our own. It's not that Biden couldn't do that, it's that he won't do that. Plus we would have so much of it that we could relieve European countries from Russian oil, another huge hit they'd have to take.

As far as commodities contracts go, my broker told me over a month ahead of time any time I had a contract nearing it's 30 days of expiration. The last thing I needed was 30 bushels of corn delivered to my home.
It's a questioning of what is important to Americans, lower gas prices or punishing Russians for their actions. It doesn't make much difference to me whether I spend $40 or $60 a month for gas. Whatever congress and the president decide is ok with me

Your thinking on all this seems to be timeline challenged. Leases don't result in any oil to market for at least a year or two.

War is in days, but massive production changes take a long time.

Russia is already taking a hit, but over time Russians will just adjust who they sell to as we change who we buy from.
If the US refuses to allow tankers with Russian oil into the US it would certainly be a problem for Russia when the world's largest buyer of oil will not purchase from you. If European countries followed. Russia would have to dump there oil with whoever would buy it at a much lower price. They would cut production and that would be a major problem for Putin's people.

Me either. Ever since I've been out of work I fill up about once every month and a half, and my Toyota Camry gets fantastic mileage plus I usually only put in about 12 to 13 gallons per fill up. However other people have to get to work, tend to children, and use a hell of a lot more than I do.

We are both correct here. Russia would be paying the price if we stopped all Russian imports, however I am right when I say we could replace that oil with US oil and help bring the price down for everybody across the globe including us.

Third option: The US moves to a four day work week. Everybody who works 5 days a week will work 4 ten hour days instead. That's one less day and afternoon of rush hour, schools would be closed on Monday or Friday, working people would have a three day weekend every week, most all government facilities closed that day. It would save families money and lower our consumption thus bringing down the price. It's a win-win. For people who work six days a week, the same for them. They get cut back to 10 hour five days a week. And......it won't cost anybody a dime. The best part is it would make the enviro-kooks happy as all hell.

I spend that a week, and the extra $80 a month is still OK with me. But that amount, added to the Biden inflation at the grocery store, has created hardship for those in the lower and lower-middle brackets.

Perhaps now would be a good time to cut some pork from our government spending and temporarily lower taxes. The amount of waste in government is beyond atrocious.

No Lisa, I'm not pro-Biden and I'm not pro-Trump either. They and their political parties represent the same thing. For a hint on what is my agenda and what I support, catch Chris Hedges on some of his utube videos.

This is how I've heard it stated by Hedges just recently:

And American people have been stripped of all their power to survive and flourish, and so are grasping for power from politicians who are promising to help them. The MAGA statement is a very good example.
And as it pertains to guns, many more Americans are grasping their guns as their method of gaining back power, as well as a bonanza for those who sell guns.

This forum is in fact empowering for those who are without and so we see examples such a politicalchic who is over the top with her hating for others, due only to a political difference of opinion.

I'm open to a discussion on the issues with anyone who is capable of conducting themselves appropriately.

You say you are open to a discussion with those who conduct themselves appropriately, but upthread you called Ray a person of low intelligence. That type of insult - slamming someone as being stupid for no other reason than disagreeing with you - does not qualify as appropriate conduct and tells me you yourself are guilty of that of which you accuse others (which is, btw, a liberal pattern).

Yes, with Ray I am guilty, but I'll plead for a little leeway once in a while. I try to avoid it on issues that are of any importance.

The offer stands for you too Lisa, even though I don't contemplate anything to come. Surprise me!

Putin invades Ukraine....rightwingers respond by blaming United States government.

What the fuck is wrong with you idiots? Did Putin's trolls get into all of your facebook feeds? What the hell is going on?
Biden gave Putin the green light to invade Ukraine. What is wrong with you, idiot?
Did you have a "minor incursion" with your BFF last night? Tell us all about it.

Biden and Putin even right now are colluding with Ayatollah Assahollah to help him build Nukes, and build more accurate and reliable ICBMs.

Biden is in bed with both Russia and China at the same time and has gotten rich from taking bribes from both of them.

There is dumb, and then there is you. A whole new level of stupid and denial.

If Putin cuts our oil that puts the US economy into a tailspin. He has Biden by the balls.
whether Biden stops buying oil or Putin put stop selling to us, the result is same, Gas prices rise in the US and Russia has 209,000 barrels of oil a day to sell elsewhere or cut production. Something I didn't know is Russia oil has very high content of Sulphur and not all refiners candle it.

You only plea for leeway when somebody points out your hypocrisy. Whenever you are involved in a losing debate, you make claim they are not discussing the same subject you are.

Biden and Trump do NOT represent the same thing, and the only people who ever pull that “it’s both sides” crap are the leftists.

Biden wants people on the government dole, depending on government and thereby subservient to its wishes. Trump wants people working, with government interfering as little as possible.

Biden wants illegals to stream in here, putting a burden on Americans already burdened, and Trump wants them to remain in Mexico until their hearings determine whether they are eligible for admission.

Biden wants to enable the HAMAS-elected Palestinians, and turned the money supply back on. Trump had halted it.

Biden wants us dependent on other countries, including our adversaries, and halted the Keystone Pipeline. Trump had us in a position of exporting oil.

Biden is weak, and gave tacit permission (a minor incursion is OK) to his friend Putin. Trump was strong, and Putin didn’t dare.

Obama/Biden had reduced our military strength. Trump restored it.

Obama/Biden kowtow to adversaries with “deals”, including one that sponsor terrorist activity, while Trump pulled us out of agreemwnts that were not to our benefit, and instituted new ones.

I could go in on and on, but the point is made: Biden and Trump do not stand for the same things, and it’s a weak point made by ignorant people. If it were true, why did the Marxist Dems move Heaven and Earth to oust Trump and install Biden?

The government of your country has created widespread poverty for the American people.
I'm not surprised on your opinion Lisa. Many still think that Trump is going to change that fact.

Our government “created” poverty? We have a wonderful country where anyone can rise from poverty to affluence in 20 years.

Unless you mean “creating” poverty by not giving people enough handouts?

You would see that government ensuring that the American people get a piece of the great American pie, as handouts. I don't see that there's anything to gain on further discussion with you. You have my opinion on the issue now at least.

The American people can and do get a piece of the American pie - if they work for it and earn it. Opportunities abound.

YOU would see handouts as the way for Americans to get a piece of the pie - and the government not taking money from successful people and giving it non-successful as “creating poverty.” Your leftist, socialist Canadian attitude needs to stay in Canada.
