Bernie Sanders - screw democracy. I'm more popular. I should be the Democratic Nominee!

My point is that there are far too many who call themselves 'independent' who aren't really independent of their party or the duopoly at all. They're just disaffected democrats and republicans who are going to vote the same way they always have.

.
ugh, I hate agreeing with morons.

Okay, I know this is probably a stupid question, but why aren't unaffiliated voters ("Independents") allowed to vote in the primaries in every state, both parties? We live here and we vote here. It skews the results of the primaries and makes everyone spend months guessing how the Independents will vote in the election. In our state, Independents are a big hunk of voters who will vote either Dem or Repub--or this year, maybe stay home. I hate it that we don't have a voice in the choices.
If you aren't registered in a party, you don't get to vote for the primaries in some states. Some of them don't want independents fuckin everything up.
If you don't like it, don't vote for the duopoly. That's my advice anyways.
Us Independents ARE going to fuck everything up in November. And some of us know better than to vote for Johnson or the Green Party because it is a thrown away vote. I wish it weren't that way, but it is.

Many Independents will vote our conscience, not to "fuck things up."

Too many "Independents" are just mad at their own party, but hardly independent from it.
I didn't mean that in a bad way, was just echoing TN. I realize now, though, that I am misspeaking. I call myself an Independent but I am technically "Unaffiliated." You and others are referring to the actual Independent party, which to be honest I know nothing about.
Independents don't have a party. Independents are the option if you aren't a dem or repub.
Independents are a variety of different parties.

Many 'independents' aren't really independent .. just mad at the party they always vote for .. but still vote for that party regardless.

Someday someone will tell me what's wrong (besides stupid) with saying someone eats flies.

Seriously, you should stick to talking to children. You're not very good at this.

Bernie Sanders, an independent, not a Democrat, has done really well in states that have open voting. Again and again, other Independents have put him over the top.

But in states where the contest is open only to Democrats, he not only tends to lose, but lose big. He goes on about WV, where the voters were 98% white. Notice, not a word about Nebraska. Mrs. Clinton carried Nebraska.

And now, even though he is behind by millions of votes and hundreds of regular delegates, he feels he is more popular, so he should be the parties nominee. Forget what the voters think.

What that really is, is a glimpse into his brand of socialism.

Republicans practice voter suppression. That can no longer be denied. Even the leadership admits it. But Bernie feels he should decide. That the voters don't even count.

It's the polls, the polls, the polls--LOL

There is one thing that Sanders and Trump have in common. They both will mention the polls 4 times in one paragraph--that "show" them as "popular."

One of Sanders frequent comments is--"the "polls" are showing me beating Donald Trump by 20 points--so that's a reason to back him." But if you a look at the internals of these polls, many of them are on-line polls, where the participant can vote several times, and the other polls have such low participation--they're actually laughable. I saw one National poll with 711 participants that is supposed to be reflective of the opinion of over 170+ million voters. Last night on this board Trump supporters were wetting their pants over an online poll with 1,289 participants that showed Trump catching up with Hillary. This poll was touted by Shawn Hannity on Fox News--LOL

WHY? BECAUSE NO ONE PICKS UP ON UNKNOWN CALLERS ANYMORE, and most of us have cell phones that pollsters have no access too. So pollsters are forced to use low participation data. In fact National polling data has turned into a world wide disaster because of this. Obviously the only ones that are bothering to participate in online polls and answering unknown callers, are Trump & Sanders supporters. Here is a great article describing this.
Flaws in Polling Data Exposed as U.S. Campaign Season Heats Up

So the next time some candidate or other remarks on a poll. Look at it, and read the internals on how they came up with their data, and you will be
SHOCKED.

Yes Sanders had a great run on all of the smaller caucus states due to very low participation. Most people aren't going to bother go to a 3 hour meeting on a Tuesday night to cast a vote. Typically underdog candidates win those states. Had those states been primary states where several days of voting are allowed with the use of mail in ballots, Hillary Clinton would have won all of those and he would be a distant memory right now. As far as open primaries, Independents are allowed to vote, but there has also been a lot of Operation Bernie voting going on by Republicans. Republicans looking for the weakest candidate, and Democrats have been doing the same, voting for Donald Trump looking for the weakest candidate.

Clearly the Democrat Party in these closed primary states, have rejected Bernie Sanders and his proposals. The real poll is out and it came in the form of a ballot. Hillary Clinton is leading Bernie Sanders by millions of actual votes. Bernie Sanders is done, he's not going anywhere. The longer he stays in a race he's already lost, the more he alienates the Democrat Party, the more credibility, respect and support he loses.

Right now--the math says Sanders would have to win 87% of all delegates left in each and every state. Not going to happen.
