Because maybe they feel strongly about other matters as well. Or they feel strongly that government shouldn’t enforce it. Or they feel strongly that their religion doesn’t see this the right way.

Or maybe they just don't give a damn about the religion when it comes to that. Regardless, it's still a top tenet of the Christian religions.

The point is that you don’t get to tell people how to practice their religion.

It has nothing to do with politics. As I already stated, I grew up in a family with a religious mother. I went to a private Catholic school. I even served as an altar boy at their church. I know what they are all about. That being said, it's my opinion that Biden is a phony. How can you say you belong to a religion you don't even follow?
