WASHINGTON — President Biden said on Friday that he would bar his predecessor, Donald J. Trump, from receiving intelligence briefings traditionally given to former presidents, saying that Mr. Trump could not be trusted because of his “erratic behavior” even before the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
The move was the first time that a former president had been cut out of the briefings, which are provided partly as a courtesy and partly for the moments when a sitting president reaches out for advice. Currently, the briefings are offered on a regular basis to Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Mr. Biden, speaking to Norah O’Donnell of CBS News, said Mr. Trump’s behavior worried him “unrelated to the insurrection” that gave rise to the second impeachment of Mr. Trump.

The documents that were in MAL were stored in an APPROVED locked vault (would you rather see them stored in a garage next to a corvette? Or broadcast over the internet as Biden has allowed docs to be leaked?) Trump had clearance to see EVERY one of them. OTOH, Biden had no clearance to have docs from the Obama admin in his garage. The Secret Service have no role in this. The link says nothing about approving storage of these classified documents because they have nothing to do with that decision.

The closet at Mar a Lago was not a vault and was never approved by anyone to store classified documents.

Biden did not have the right to store classified documents in his garage (note that his house is also guarded by Secret Service but whatever, consistency isn’t your thing). That’s why he returned everything promptly after their existence was discovered. The answer is no.

As Trump also held no office after January 20th, 2021, being a private citizen, and as his closet was not approved by anyone to retain any classified documents, he also had no authority to be in possession of any classified material.

If Trump had simply returned all the classified documents when it was discovered that he had them, it would have been quickly and quietly resolved.

That’s not what Trump did. He chose to hide them from the government. Big mistake. Huge mistake.

Crooked Donald did not, he fought tooth and nail, and refused to allow them to search for other documents...Trump took around 400 plus classified documents with him, intentionally, and withheld them, and lied about them, and even with a grand jury subpoena did not turn them all over, and had his lawyers lie in a sworn affidavit that all the records and documents were returned and NONE were left, with video soon after they returned to D.C., had security tapes of trump home and resort subpoenaed showing trump going through the documents he lied about, not having....

So Trump obstructed justice, and lied under oath via his lawyers....law enforcement then sought a search and seizure warrent via a judge...the rest is history....30 or 40 more cases of documents belonging to we the people and hundreds of more classified documents, that Trump team lied and said they did not have....
