Biden: ‘We do not support independence’ for Taiwan

Did Biden just throw Taiwan under a bus?

We currently have two wars going on at the moment....a third would really be stretching armed forces too much.
The only people involved in combat right now is the Navy against Yemen, and that will be over in a few days after we destroy their capabilities from the air. Did you notice Hezbollah is awful quiet right now, and we have done nothing towards them?

Biden: ‘We do not support independence’ for Taiwan

President Joe Biden had a blunt message after voters in Taiwan elected a new president Saturday: “We do not support independence” for Taiwan.

Biden’s words, delivered as he departed for Camp David, reinforced the administration’s position to Taiwan’s new president Lai Ching-te, who has faced strong opposition from China over his calls for independence.

Shows who Owns Biden. This is alnost a go ahead message to China.

Biden is a paid Chineese hack.
Communist china is an unstable superpower

They want a foreign war to releave internal pressure

Taiwan is essentially independent now

Declaring formal independence would lead to war with the mainland which is in no one’s best interest

So explain this:

22nd October 2021, 03:27 CDT Biden says US will defend Taiwan if China attacks - BBC

September 19, 2022, 9:09 AM CDT U.S. President Joe Biden said U.S forces would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion, his most explicit statement on the issue. Reuters
Hes a LIAR

Could Biden possibly project more weakness?

With 295 days to go? Yes he could.

Um, that has been the US Policy since 1979. Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama and Trump ALL took the same position.

Here's the reality. China is willing to tolerate a Taiwan that is independent in fact, but not in name. They really can't. Any more than the US would tolerate one of its states declaring independence.

So let's hope that Taiwan's new president doesn't do anything stupid, but if he does, we shouldn't get involved.

Again, it is unlikely that China will try to invade Taiwan UNLESS they do something really stupid like declare independence.

The real problem is that amphibious landings are difficult, especially against a hardened defense. China simply doesn't have the resources to pull it off, and their generals don't really have that much battlefield experience. (China fought her last land war in 1979, and it didn't go well.)

Of course, if Taiwan does declare independence, China would have no choice but to invade. That would be a challenge to her national sovereignty.

Where does China "Want a War", exactly? China hasn't been involved in a war since 1979. We've been involved in several.

We invade countries, the Chinese help people build roads and airports.

China is now a world power. With our help and blessing. Having Taiwan reunited gives them more access from their mainland into the ocean. They have somewhat of a bottleneck now. One reason they are building manmade islands along with potential oil and minerals.

And so fucking what? China was the world's largest economy up until 1850. The world didn't come to an end then and it won't come to an end now when they surpass us as the largest economy.

The day America becomes the second largest economy, I will still go to my job, come home, spend time with my wife, and my life will be absolutely no different.

Because no one cares about your opinion.

Exactly. Thank You!

Consent of the governed doesn't mean jack squat nothin any more.

Particularly with this current regime.

I dunno. As long as we at least understand that reality.
