I've been reading a lot about the kidnapping and enslavement committed by the US. There is no amount of money that can ever come close to paying for what was done.

If I were Black, I am certain I would be so angry, feel such incredible pain, that it would eat me alive. I'm white and I feel a lot of that anger and sorrow for the horrors of forcing people away from their families, their homes, their entire identity.

There's nothing special about being a human being. Nor are we evolved very far beyond other animals.
