BLM founder sentenced to 6 years for illegally voting.

"Moses pleaded guilty in 2015 to felonies including tampering with evidence and forgery, as well as misdemeanor charges of perjury, stalking, theft under $500, and escape. She was ineligible to vote in Tennessee due to her tampering with evidence charge and was currently serving seven years of probation."
This person ^ said she did nothing wrong.

Oh, okay. She seems believable and trustworthy.

go talk to the judge then. The judge has the evidence and sentenced her. You question that, that's on you. Post your evidence.

And are you trying to claim that most judges are not biased by race and political association?
Not only is the judge obviously wrong, but so is any attempt to prevent any tax payer from voting.
That is inherently criminal.

what's your evidence. hahahahahahahahaha dude, you are indeed a fking looney tune.
You know, instead of acting like a goofy little bitch -- you can try to refute the facts of what was said....

"Moses went to court and asked a judge to clarify whether she was still on probation, and the court confirmed that she was. What happened next is at the crux of the case against her. Moses did not believe the judge had correctly calculated her sentence. So she went to the local probation office and asked an officer to figure it out. An officer filled out and signed a certificate confirming her probation had ended. In Tennessee, people with felony convictions who want to vote need that document from a correction official. Moses submitted it to local election officials along with a voter registration form. But the day afterwards, an official at the corrections department wrote an email to election officials saying a probation officer had made an “error” on Moses’ certificate. The department offered no explanation for the mistake."

I know it feels better to make her out to be some sinister villain who was trying to destroy democracy by trying to register to vote -- but the facts don't support such delusions....

and the evidence showed she conned the probation board. fk you hate facts.

That is stupid.
HOW could any one possibly "con" a probation board?
There simply is no way.
Probation Boards are used to dealing with con artists, and no con artist is every going to try to legally go through the procedure of registering to vote, when they could much more easily just vote as a dead person.
The claim of deliberate voter fraud is ridiculous.
Clearly the mistake was by the Probation Board, not the victim.

Yes, she is because "tampering with evidence" may not have harmed anyone, but may have been the result of trying to avoid discrimination or something.
It could not have been serious and harmful to others, or else she would not have gotten just probation.

Regardless of whether or not she is trustworthy, there is no way she could have been scamming the Probation Board.
Are we to believe anyone on probation can just go to the board and claim their time is up and the board does not check?

Never mind the relative criminal records of these two people. Yes, it seems you've paid ZERO attention
to their relative histories with respect to the criminal system.
Boo-hoo for this so called "travesty of justice". :icon_rolleyes:

The real "travesty" here is your 100% ignorant appraisal and understanding of what went on.
I'm sure you never tried to understand the differences in the two cases, however.

So much easier to beat your little monkey drum of shock and indignation that way.
As dishonest as a street corner Times Square Rolex dealer, as always.

I would suggest that the vast majority of people that came to listen to Trump speak on 1/6 turned around
and went home after his remarks concluded.
The dregs that remained, FBI provocateurs and all, no more reflect the conservative movement than the
guy that opened fire on republican softball players a few years ago represent the average leftist moron.
What a fucking asshole y'ar!

"Moses didn’t know anything was amiss until 2019, when she launched a long-shot mayoral campaign. Election officials said she couldn’t appear on the ballot because of her felony. When they began to look into her eligibility, they also realized she had never been taken off the voter rolls. Moses went to court and asked a judge to clarify whether she was still on probation, and the court confirmed that she was. What happened next is at the crux of the case against her.

Moses submitted it to local election officials along with a voter registration form.

But the day afterwards, an official at the corrections department wrote an email to election officials saying a probation officer had made an “error” on Moses’ certificate. Moses was still serving an active felony sentence, they wrote, and was not eligible to vote. The department offered no explanation for the mistake.

Such errors are actually fairly common in Tennessee, where the voting rules are extremely confusing for people with felonies, Blair Bowie, an attorney at the Campaign Legal Center, told me. A 2017 study found that about 8% of the certificates submitted were rejected because the voters remained ineligible. Bowie said she was unaware of any voter in the state ever facing criminal charges for submitting a certificate but later turning out to be ineligible to vote."

It's a pattern.

oh fk no, I have two days of illegal counting as my evidence. Are you unaware that the count went on for two days after the election date? Come on man, at least catch up to the facts of the story.

Counting votes for 2 days after the election is NOT evidence of fraud.
You normally count ballots for days after the election date.

What a fucking asshole y'ar!

Your BS makes my computer screen smell.

Moses knew what probation rules were and how long her sentence was. If she can't do simple math
whose fault is that? If she got bad information then it's on her to verify what someone told her is true.

The BLM criminal will have six years to figure out what went wrong. Appeal the judges sentence if
she's certain she should have been let out her probation conditions when in actuality she should not have
been. Deal with it, fucking asshole!

According to my link from the NYT it stated the judge told her that she went to the probation office and told them she was no longer on probation and somebody there took her word for it and didn't look into the matter. Plus I'm sure she didn't go into court by herself when she was sentenced to 7 years probation. She had to have had a lawyer which she should have contacted first.

Wrong.
No one knows what the laws are on voting while on probation because prohibiting voting is inherently illegal, each state has its own complex voting laws for felons, and judges can over ride the laws anyway they want.
There is nothing inherently wrong with voting while on probation.
It is legal in lots of states, and at one time was legal in ALL states.

That is just a lie.
There is NO WAY you can TELL a probation board that you are no longer on probation, and no one claims that is what she did.
When you are on probation, the Probation Board monitors you, and TELLS you if you are still on probation or not.
You do not get to tell them.
They checked the records and simply screwed up somehow.

They screwed up by not checking the records apparently. We're not talking about a person with a low IQ here. She formed the chapter of BLM in her state. She wanted to run for Mayor. She is apparently a political activist so there is no way anybody can claim she was ignorant.

And that obviously is a LIE by the JUDGE.
No one goes to their Probation Board and tells them anything.
When on probation, you are assigned a Probation Officer, who constantly and carefully monitors your probation.
She said THEY told her she was done with probation.
That is the ONLY way it could have gone down.
No Probation Board is ever going to take a client's word for anything.
And clearly the Probation Board admitted they were the ones mistaken and had miscalculated.
If the Probation Board had been at the trial, then she should have been found innocent.

And no, typically when there is an arranged plea deal like this 7 years probation, it is because the person can't afford a lawyer.
That was an incredibly long term of probation, for something that harmed the rights of no one.

Looks like she was caught trying to register to vote as a felon; based on bad info she got from probation officer.....

But it feels better to pretend she was part of some nefarious plot where the FBI coordinated with BLM and other scary darkies to steal the election from Trump.....it didn't happen, but it still feels good to pretend

It would feel even better if you were more informed. No article said anything about her probation officer. It said she went to the probation office herself. If she went to her probation officer she knew he'd tell her she couldn't vote, so she took her chance with strangers unfamiliar with her case.

Wrong.
They clearly DID check the records, but made some sort of mistake in doing calculations.
All the articles say is was a mistake in the calculations done by the Probation Board.
There is no way they did not "check the records".
That is impossible.
Again, you did NOT read the article.
The article clearly said the laws about voting by felons is very complex in the state.
It is not just for how long you are sentenced to probation.
For example, the original sentence can be modified by things like good behavior and not committing crimes.
There is no way to determine if denied the vote or not, without complicated examination and calculations.

Ah, the judge lied. That must be it. So you expect us to believe you instead of a judge that was involved in the case? She believed that her seven year probation mysteriously vanished with no explanation? She couldn't contact her lawyer to look into the matter first?

There is no way any Probation Board is going to say anything to a client without checking on the Probation Officer.
For example, the Probation Officer can shorten or lengthen the probation period, depending on good behavior or rules violations.

So where is this evidence that they clearly did check the records? You make things up as you go along, don't you?

Yes, judges are all pretty much corrupt, or else police who murder Blacks would be in prison, there would no War on Drugs, no mandatory sentences, no asset forfeiture, no federal gun laws, etc.
Clearly the whole legal system is VERY corrupt.
It is out to make a profit, and is a cushy job for the wealthy elite.
