The black criminals often have a long criminal history which reflects on their sentences. Another issue is that like poor whites and browns, poor blacks have to depend on overworked and underfunded public defenders. This also affects their sentences. There is no systemic prejudice that I can see, just consequences for actions. A black person is far more likely per capita than a white, brown or yellow person to commit a violent crime and that reflects on their sentences as well.You couldn't be more wrong.

Black people on average receive more prison time than others for the same crimes. Is that not systemic prejudice?
