I am so glad that pre-existing conditions are no longer required to be covered -- Now insurance can do the right thing and price their plans appropriately ---

if you have a pre-existing condition and can't afford -- you have the freedom to get charities or rely on family members to help you get treatment -- if not, oh well -- maybe if you worked harder, you wouldn't be in this position.

I may be open to children with pre-existing conditions receiving govt assistance but the more I think about it -- I think only certain children who are worthy should receive it.

That's nice, meanwhile Republicans once again de-stabilize the market and screw people. ZERO in terms of fixing anything.

Here is where I have a problem. Liberals often believe they are the smartest people on the planet and should be in power / position to make such decisions for everyone else. They are smarter that 'you', they know how to spend 'your' money better than 'you'...and they will spend the $h!t out of every dime you have to their great causes and to fund their ideology before they ever pay a dime out of their POCKETS.

Many people don't know this (or care), but the U.S. has a plan for 'national survival' in case of a catastrophic event', such as a nuclear war / al-out nuclear strike. In this plan they have a medical resources / medical treatment plan, based on severe damage / loss and limited resources. In that plan they plan to provide medical treatment based on a pre-determined prioritized list / system. In this system under these conditions, for example, Infants / the extremely young children and elderly people are, as they say, 'SOL' - NO care. They are considered the least capable of surviving due to lack of 'strength/ability to survive harsh conditions on their own.

What many people also don't know, but the man who helped wrote that plan was brought in to help the ACA, Obamacare. As a member of the military for 30 years and going through / seeing a lot of cr@p I can understand the necessity for such a 'Disaster Contingency Plan', but to incorporate that mindset / part of that plan into a national health care plan when NOT is such disastrous / resource-limited situation now is, IMO, a NON-starter. To THEM, it was a 'NO-BRAINER'.

Sorry, but I don't like the federal govt designing a plan to FORCE the American people to go towards a single payer system, one in which they initiate parts of a plan that allows them to determine who gets medical treatment and who doesn't, who is 'WORTHY' and who is NOT.

IMO, the federal government is not being honest with the American people. They see / know that our system of government can not continue to operate with such a MASSIVE, growing social program debt and that it will FAIL. Our Health Care system, in that capacity, is much like Social Security - it will FAIL under the weight of all the poor choices, crimes, times they saw the problem but kicked the can down the road until they run out of road....

That's the only reason I can see why the Federal Govt would shepherd / herd Americans through a path / gates that eventually, in this case, leads to a Single Payer system....where Americans suddenly find they no longer have control of their own health care choices, where we are in a resource-challenged environment, and where the Federal Govt decides who is 'WORTHY' or not - who gets the MRIs, who gets the cancer surgery, etc...

- 'Sorry ma'am. You are 70yo and could possibly die in this surgery, so we have decided you are not 'viable' / 'worthy'. Please return home and do as well as you can until you die.'

The real 'eye-opener' for people who read this and shake their heads / call me 'crazy' is this:

Think of all the things in the past decade that has happened in our lives, all the things changed politically or because of politics...and think about how no matter how bad you want to change them YOU CAN'T because you are AT THE MERCY OF THE POLITICIANS WHO HAVE BEENDOING ALL OF THIS / WHO CONTINUE TO DO IT. With rare exception, boys and girls, you are not 'at the wheel' - you are 'along for the ride'.

Case in point - think about all of those Democrats who believed what they wanted / WHO they wanted in 2016 truly mattered. Bernie Supporters - Bernie was leading, he was beating Hillary, and he should have gotten the nomination...but they got F*ed. The outcome was NEVER theirs to decide as the DNC had planned on making it Hillary's nomination all along, no matter what. That sickening feeling in the bottom of your stomach, the bile rising in your throat....that's the sudden realization that you don't / didn't matter, what you wanted / want didn't matter. You are a 'sheep' - NOT 'at the wheel' but just 'along for the ride'.

Time to take the blinders off and fight back against all the division that keeps us separated as Americans instead of unified against what the politicians on both sides continue to do and do TO us.
