Found this interview today.......police officer hits a criminal with 14 rounds of .45, before the criminal stops fighting back........



Keep in mind.........reloads several times...........17 hits on the bad guy......went through 3 magazines in this fight....had he been limited to 10 bullets to a magazine he would have been forced to change more often, in the middle of a fight....

this is why magazine bullet limits are stupid.....you never know how many bullets you may need to save your life...

2 minutes for the cops to arrive to help him....

A combat situation isn’t going to the range and firing from a rest. In combat most rounds miss. The target is moving and the shooter is pumping adrenaline. At the range at fifty feet firing from a rest, I will put every single round into the ten ring and my groups can usually be covered with a silver dollar. In a life or death situation, they would be all over the place. Even Spec Ops like SEALs and Special Forces rarely get one shot kills in combat. That’s why they are trained two to the chest then one to the head at close quarters. They train constantly and fire thousands of rounds a month. No cop or civilian can match their skill level.

The guy that runs my shooting range is an ex cop and ex Marine. In the Marines he was on their Competitive shooting team. He has several state championship pistol shooting titles. He is competitive nationally. He knows how to shoot a pistol.

He talks about the only fire fight he ever got into as a policeman. Him and his partner both emptied all their magazines at some bad guy that was shooting back. Only one bullet hit the guy.

One shot, one hit is a Hollywood fantasy.
