We've seen a few threads on California over the months. Always seems to be some disagreement, some feel California is doing great, some feel it has become a dump. Whichever side you're on there is currently a typhus epidemic in Los Angeles (Southern California, for those that can't find it on a map). Typhus is caused by specific types of bacterial infection. Epidemic typhus is spread by body lice (commonly found on homeless individuals), murine typhus is a form of typhus transmitted by fleas, usually on rats.

interesting--They seem to term 100+ cases as an 'epidemic'. I have to say..given a population base of 10+ million---using the term seems just a little overblown. I get the percentages that the article is using..but seems like good ole fear-mongering to sell papers and airtime, to me.

Of course, California bashing is always in order, to a certain kind of poster.

California, land of plenty
Plenty of homeless....
All that liberal compassion is really working well in that state.....
State of insanity that is...

The rise of California's tent cities

Yep,
100+ is not really an "epidemic".
the thousands that are homeless, are not that many.
the tens of thousands that are illegal, aren't many.
the fires aren't really that large.
the earthquake(s) aren't that big.

….dumbass.

Perhaps..Thinker101..when you get out of the Freshman class and become Thinker201..you will look at that post..and cringe. You went from100+ cases of typhus to fire to earthquakes! Any Professor would laugh himself sick. You think that you are calling me a Dumbass....when in fact, you are just self-labeling your post.

Democrats are willing to gamble on whether or not Calififornicate will become a disease ridden shit hole like the Congo. They desperately need voters.

Never mind the reported Sidewalk $hit problem in San Francisco.

Not surprising, for the People's Democratic Socialist Republic of Kalipornia.

Letting people shit all over the sidewalks and anywhere else they can leads to disease.

Common Sense 101.
