Calling It a New Name Won't Make Socialism Work

But it’s never been implemented properly before – this time around. I’m sure top people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will succeed where Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Maduro, etc. have failed.

SORRY, DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS — YOU’RE STILL PUSHING POISON.

I happen to know a little something about the transfer of private industry to government control. My grandmother’s father had his bakery seized in the Soviet city of Gomel. He was sent to a gulag, where he then died.

Oh, that’s crazy, Democratic Socialists would respond. No one is planning to seize bakeries. And no one will be sent to prison for owning a business.

No? What if those who own companies in industries that “necessitate some form of state ownership” don’t want to give them up willingly? What happens when the state runs out of money from the industries seized and needs more?

It’s baffling how we can still be considering centralized control of industries when that has never worked anywhere. And how socialism lovers so easily dismiss the underlying foundation in countries that have veered toward some form of that system: capitalism. Countries such as Norway, for example, are helped by a large abundance of natural resources and an essentially capitalist system supporting the welfare state.

On the other hand, nations where socialism continues to wreak havoc and spur poverty, disease and crime, like Venezuela, don’t have much support from capitalism. Fact is, “socialism” only works when it’s paid for by capitalism.

* * * * * * * *

In the fall of 1959, Nikita Khrushchev gave a series of speeches here. In one, he said, “We are catching up with you in economic progress, and the time is not far distant when we will move into the lead.” In Russia, that prompted folks to joke: “When we finally catch up to America, can I get off?”

Without the cold air of its core philosophy to down draft its physical world application to a society, Socialism is something other than socialism. Socialism always begins the same: with good intentions had along the road to hell. Like many sister Modernist forms of government, the ethos of its political psychology is geared toward liberation of the Western man. Where socialism veers sharply from constitutionalism is in it's methodology of liberating the group identity versus the individual, from near-ancient feudalistic rule by aristocracy known in the Modernist world as nobility-now-capitalist upper class.

The ingenious lie of socialism is in its promise to transfer ruling power to the working class. The reality of all true socialist real-world implementations to date has been transfer of ruling power to the Party Elite rather than the People. Once in power, small, fanatical party councils or a dictator then centralize all ruling power into their hands.

The new socialist government seizes control of the economy and means of production. The press is socialized as are means of communication, resource production and utilities. Political officers are posted in public schools, on campuses and throughout work places. Loyalty files are kept on most every citizen and infractions against Party loyalty are recorded and maintained for life.

Next, populations are redistributed according to geographic demographics most easily controlled and exploited for government labor. Remnants of opposing ideological and political personalities are purged: killed or imprisoned. Dissent of any kind is immediately hammered out of existence.

Any call for true socialism made in America is done either in historical ignorance or with intended malevolence.

How does it get there?

Tell me the pathway, are you not understanding my questions or are just unable to give a real answer. Poor person gets $1000 welfare check or food stamps. How does that money get into the pocket of a politician?
That’s just printed paper, someone has to pay for that welfare check… You do realize that we are past the point of no return when it comes to socialist entitlement programs?
Again you dodge the question. How doesn’t it end up in the pockets of politicians?
How the hell do you get a $1,000 welfare check super super?

I was just using an arbitrary example cause after 4 goes Rustdick still couldn’t answer the question. Guess it was over his head

I suspect an acute case of crankiness has also risen with the moon tonight.

I would have no problem with socialism if it was 100% voluntary, if it was any good it would not require everybody’s participation
The real socialist answer for healthcare is a single-payer system, so out of everyone's taxes, which you probably won't like either LOL. So ACA with no mandate is perfect for you, good luck!
I have never purchased insurance, never will I don’t trust the concept.
See that’s the problem with single payer, it is forced socialism, that means it’s a world of piss and shit....
