THIS IS NOT ABOUT OBAMA. President Trump may be ivy league educated but being an accomplished multi-billionaire businessman does not mean shit when it comes to foreign affairs or foreign policy. He was supposed to listen to the experts on that, instead of going in with that guy-at-the-end-of-the-bar chip on his shoulder, pretending that the countries of this planet are nothing but competitors or friends and that is entirely up to him, based on his own cracked theories of what is admirable (like Putin and Crown Prince MBS). He admittedly doesn't like long, detailed explanations about anything and the intelligence agencies have difficulty holding his attention when they try to fill him in. He gets Jared to do the listening and then Jared tells the Pres what he thinks he needs to know about it afterward. Kinda scary having that kind of filter before the info reaches the President's ear, but Trump himself insists on it.
Trump thinks he knows more than the generals. He knows more than his cabinet members and his attorney general and the judges of the federal judiciary and the Supreme Court. The Camus quote is actually very apt.
