No one is saying that Donald Trump isn't wealthy. What I am saying is that many of those buildings he no longer owns, many are merely licensed to carry the Trump name. Trump sold all of the buildings his father owned in 2004 and hasn't bought or developed in Manhattan for a few years now. He owns approximately 1.5 million sq ft while other Manhattan players like the Durst Co own upwards of 13 million sq ft. Trump is known for his name and that is what gives him much of his fame.
