Cannot ever be a state.... Washington DC

Residents of those states can be represented by Senators and Congressmen. Residents of DC cannot

DC residents pay more Federal Taxes than 22 other states.
Taxation without representation
stop taxing them on a federal level. I think it’s horrible.

Washington D.C. cannot be state.

The Constitution limits the area of the District of Columbia to 100 square miles and prohibits the seat of government from growing outside those bounds. As such, the independent City of Alexandria as well as not only the City but the entire County of Arlington, as well as the Pentagon, which is federal and not property, properly pertain to the District of Columbia, rather than the Commonwealth of Virginia, since Virginia was a Confederate State at the time of the Civil War.

Neither the unconstitutional "retrocession" land grab nor the out-of-control growth of the federal government and military industrial complex beyond the original boundaries of the District of Columbia can be respected.

If the District of Columbia were a state, it could as well be all of Virginia, including Quantico and Langley AFB and the whole federal government administered from a Confederate state exactly as the Democratic Party wishes with the new Critical Race Theory being pushed and promoted in public schools by the Democrat teachers unions.

The Territory of Puerto Rico cannot be admitted as a state either until it is rid of Communism and the improper influence of the Castro family and other Mexican and Central/South American drug carteles. Otherwise that would be tantamount to admitting another slave state and threatening a second Civil War in the United States by such violent drug-dealing insurrection and rebellion.
Awesome thank you for this

he territorial capital was Yankton from 1861 until 1883, when it was moved to Bismarck. Admission of new western states was a party political battleground with each party looking at how the proposed new states were likely to vote. At the beginning of 1888, the Democrats under president Grover Cleveland proposed that the four territories of Montana, New Mexico, Dakota and Washington should be admitted together. The first two were expected to vote Democratic and the latter two were expected to vote Republican so this was seen as a compromise acceptable to both parties. However, the Republicans won majorities in both the House and the Senate later that year. To head off the possibility that Congress might only admit Republican territories to statehood, the Democrats agreed to a less favorable deal in which Dakota was divided in two and New Mexico was left out altogether. Cleveland signed it into law on February 22, 1889, and the territories could become states in nine months time after that.

Citations for what? You made the claim. You provide the citations! That's the way it works!
I was wondering if you could point out a specific example of what you said everything is not true

Are you and I usually in agreement about things or am I thinking about someone else

The Constitution says:

"To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States"

They'd have to redraw the boundaries of the Federal District first, but then the remainder of D.C. would be returned to Virginia & Maryland.

That would shake up the politics of those two states!
Thank you. But then the populated area could just as well become it's own state. It has more people than Wyoming for instance
