It would not be at all surprising to find this is arson. There are so many illegals in that area with campfires that a fire is not even unusual.

Unfortunate situation, but no matter what the source of the fires, one cannot be surprised to be in one when they live in the area. It would be kind of like moving to Alaska and being shocked when it snows.

At least 30 homes in Carlsbad burned down now and there are 4 other fires in the county now.

That wasn't quite true...only about 2 burned as of today....the San Marcos fire from yesterday has turned and is heading East towards Escondido....particularly towards the new Palomar Hospital.

If the fruits and nuts in California would stop with the tree hugging and allow the clearing of forests that are overgrown with brush and deadwood, these wildfires would not be happening.

Quite a few. Right down that close to the border that would be a first thought. Accidental fires are commonly started by dry heat lightening. There just hasn't been any.

A lot of them have been "suspected" of being caused by illegals and/or homeless that are camping and using campfires.

I don't think they ever really find the cause of these fires, or if they do, they seldom tell the public.
