Christian Students win legal challenge against the university of Iowa

Maybe they decide who can join them, they are bigots:

According to the University, this Statement of Faith “inherently excludes” and is “unwelcoming” to “gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals.” Defs.’

as most Christians are!

I know gay Christians.
We all do, but sometimes we don't know if they are gay. I never ask anyone.

I know they are gay. Everyone knows they are gay. They make no secret of it.

Some gays are bi, and no outward sign. Some gays are very maculine.

And irrelevant.

Christians too often roll over when they're discriminated against. It's nice to see them take a stand like this.

I don't trust anyone who just says "Christian." Name denomination or sect, please. The Christian faith is now all split off, making naming the denomination extremely important. Were these students Catholic, Episcopalian, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Quaker, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Dutch Reformed? What? There are morons who say that "Christians" are being "persecuted," but each Christian faith is different, so be specific as to which Christians you are talking about.

I will never go to an business who advertise as a Christian business.
Me. as well. There are so many bizarre things coming out of people who claim that this is Christianity that this faith is so confusing as to be unrecognizable. I am asking myself what it means to believe in Jesus anymore. A famous Christian author once told me to not quit, to wade through the 2,000 years of bullshit and find what the truth is, but I'm just hanging on by the skin of my teeth, in view of the Catholic boys who run that faith, and the graham and jeffress types, all of whom seek to destroy any legacy that Jesus left.

Christian faith is faith in Jesus. Different denominations is how different people worship.

129. It includes a paragraph entitled “Doctrine of Personal Integrity,” which states: All Christians are under obligation to seek to follow the example of Christ in their own lives and in human society. In the spirit of Christ, Christians should oppose racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including pornography. We believe God’s intention for a sexual relationship is to be between a husband and wife in the lifelong covenant of marriage. Every other sexual relationship beyond this is outside of God’s design and is not in keeping with God’s original plan for humanity. We believe every person should embrace, not reject, their God-given sex. We should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the abused, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death.

unbelievable.
Oh the horra, the horra. How DARE THEY oppose racism and provide for the needy? Seriously, what could be wrong with a group stating their commonly held beliefs, especially when there is nothing in them that is derogatory towards another group? Would you demand that an Arsenal fan club has to admit Blackpool fans, and if they don't, they are bigots?

You do realize, don't you, that if you oppose their freedom to exclude homosexuals, you also oppose their freedom to exclude racists and the greedy, as well as abusers? IOW, you can't have it both ways, either a group can exclude or they cannot.

Go by what Jesus said.

They are intolerant bigots. They are in college and should abide by the college laws.

The college should abide by the Constitution

Wait until the liberals want a policy implemented then they start quoting Jesus. Otherwise, He is not welcome in academia or state-run institutions. God forbid there be the 10 Commandments in a Courthouse. How offensive and intolerant.

No. Too much has been attached on to Christianity like barnacles on a ship's hull. It's not a matter of "worship." There has been so much attached onto a belief in Jesus that has no foundation, from LGBTs are bad to women must be subservient to sex is bad even to women can't wear jeans, to contraceptives are bad, and a host of other things. It's all bogus. Some people even quote Saul/Paul, Titus, Revelation, as if Jesus/Supreme Being ever said these things. This has nothing to do with the life and teachings of Jesus. Every time some guy comes along with a theory, it somehow becomes a part of the belief of Christianity, from Aquinas to Calvin to whatever crap people like the various popes and preachers come up with. Christianity needs to have the hull of its boat scraped.

They are. They state the qualifications to join their group just like every other group the university recognizes. The university CLAIMS they are intolerant, but the bylaws do NOT exclude homosexuals, they merely state that Christians should oppose homosexuality, racism, greed, selfishness, pornography, and vice. A homosexual who was convicted that his/her lifestyle was unGodly and rejected it would be welcomed. Face it, you don't oppose a group being exclusive, you oppose any group stating that homosexuality is anything less than laudable.

Not as funny or disturbing how you guys like to remind us Jesus was a radical and liberal and quote all the wonderful things He said about supporting the sick and the poor yet you shit yourselves when a valedictorian or coach mentions His name in a high school football stadium.
