California is so much more than San Francisco. The city has a definite concern with ex military who have become addicted to opium because of the medics who prescribe them for PTSD. The aim is to first make sure they do not get any diseases from injecting with dirty needles and second to counsel them into rehabilitation.
There is a lot of homelessness due to prices and wage difference. A pizza is 30 bucks and a room is $2500 a month for cheap place. This is capitalism at it's best. Screw you I got mine!
