The cop can certainly use deadly force, but he would be doing so at his own peril.

I would have advised the officers to back off at the first clue that there was going to be a problem. Why risk getting hurt physically or getting hurt financially with fake charges being filed.

Better off for everyone involved if they police would have retreat to the nearest Krispy Kreme
