It was a wise and courteous move on Trump's part. The acrimony between Trump and the Bush family may have started during the campaign but it certainly continues to this day. It would have been unbelievably disrespectful for him to attend the funeral.

Funny how the Bushes love Bill Clinton, but despise a president who has become a champion of the conservatives

Jeb's loss was particularly painful. For one thing, Barbara Bush did not want Jeb to run. She knew that the world has had enough of Bush and Clinton. She said so. But Jeb ran a painful campaign based on his close ties to mexico and got thrashed. Clinton at least won as an American.

He sent his wife who sat with the Obama's and Clinton's, the only First Lady attending without her spouse.
